Across the Wasteland with Add-ons | Fallout 3

Fallout 3 (Walkthrough) with DLC's -> Across the Wasteland with Add-ons

Fallout 3 DLCs were released by the game's developers to allow players to enjoy the Fallout 3 experience after completing the main storyline. Each DLC tells its own short story centered on the main character. In this article, we'll briefly cover each DLC.

Fallout 3 DLC – Operation: Anchorage

The very first DLC for Fallout 3 was Operation: Anchorage. This DLC's storyline can captivate players for approximately six hours; the developers believe the average player should complete it in that time.

The DLC's story consists of four quests, each of which is completed linearly. In addition to the quests, this DLC adds a huge number of new characters, weapons, locations, and enemies to the game.

The main quests are completed by the protagonist in virtual reality, where he participates in Operation Anchorage, which involves liberating Anchorage from the Chinese in 2077.

This is interesting: I don't know about you, but this DLC reminded me of the quest "Tranquility Lane."

Fallout 3 DLC – The Pitt

This add-on adds a new city to Fallout 3, called Pitt, set in pre-war Pittsburgh. The city is in chaos, bandits have seized power and enslaved those they dislike, but a terrible disease is also raging, turning people into Trogs. One of the slaves manages to escape and sends a distress signal, hoping that those who receive it will free the city from the raiders. The protagonist picks up this distress signal, and it's up to them to decide who to help: the enslaved people or the raiders who have seized power in Pitt.

The expansion isn't difficult, isn't extensive, and features a linear progression.

Fallout 3 DLC – Broken Steel

All Fallout 3 expansions begin in a formulaic fashion: the protagonist picks up a distress beacon and is whisked away to heaven, but that's not the case with this expansion. This DLC begins immediately after the conclusion of Fallout 3's main storyline and is a direct sequel.

The DLC's plot revolves around the conflict between the Brotherhood of Steel and the Enclave, with the protagonist free to choose either side.

Fallout 3 DLC – Point Lookout

In this expansion, your character will be able to visit the town of Point Lookout and its surroundings. This wonderful town is located in the Maryland swamps, inhabited by a tribe of savages who would like to move to Point Lookout, but the townspeople oppose it. This conflict, along with the confrontation between Desmond the ghoul and the savages, plays out in the game.

This expansion adds five main and five optional quests to Fallout 3, along with three repeatable quests.

Fallout 3 DLC – Mothership Zeta

This expansion is the latest to be released. The title of this DLC can be roughly translated into Russian as "Alien Ship Zeta," and this title reveals the essence of the expansion's plot.

Probably every Fallout 3 player has encountered a crashed alien ship in the Capital Wasteland. They managed to send out a distress signal, and another alien ship arrives to help. The expansion begins with the protagonist picking up a distress beacon and deciding to investigate. Arriving at the crash site, the protagonist is surprised to discover another alien ship, which abducts them.

Your character will then have to complete several story-driven quests on the alien ship, attempting to extricate themselves from a situation they've unwittingly found themselves in. Expect fierce battles with the aliens on the ship itself, saving your homeland from destruction, and even space battles.

In conclusion, the expansion, while not extensive, is quite interesting, and we recommend you play it.
