Fallout Tactics: BoS → Rock Falls
In this mission, your team will have two objectives: completely clear out the raiders' main hideout, including eliminating the two ringleaders, and secure some technical gadget the raiders stole from who knows where. The Brotherhood of Steel has a natural weakness for all things technologically advanced and simply can't pass up yet another piece of scientific ingenuity.
You start in a closed position and have the opportunity to prepare your men. The bandits' hideout is located behind a high wall, and you have three ways to penetrate the perimeter:
1. The first is the massive central gate, behind which a bloody melee awaits your men as soon as it opens.
2. The second route is through a breach in the southeastern part of the wall. There's an ambush there. You'll pass some ruins where grim-faced men with machine guns are hiding. Furthermore, once past the breach, you'll find yourself in a wonderful place—a minefield.
3. The third option is to enter through the door on the northern side of the wall. It's also full of Bandar-logs, and gunfire is unavoidable.
Which entrance to use to visit the raiders is up to you. But for now, you need to take out the outer guards, of which there are quite a few. Be especially wary of the guys hiding behind sandbags. They're a good target to eliminate in real-time mode.
While one of your men sneaks up with a shotgun, the others, armed with hunting rifles, keep the enemies at bay. If you go through the main entrance, be sure to pin your men down first. A crowd will immediately rush you, and you'll have to disperse the rabble with bursts of fire. Buckshot from a shotgun is also welcome.
In the southern building, next to the "monkey house," a gangster with pigtails awaits you. She's the leader. Kill her immediately. You'll find a key on the corpse and can free the village shaman who gave you the healing roots in the first mission. It turns out he's also been captured by the bandits.
Now you can turn into the northern hut, where another boss is holding the line. Beware of the trickster around the corner to the right. To the east of this establishment is a small jail. You'll find the key to the door on one of the raiders in a small shack nearby. Talk to the prisoner, and he'll give you that thing you asked about in the Brotherhood.
Hmm. We've seen this before... Think of this artifact as a small hint for leveling up your energy weapon skill. However, don't forget to pick up the prisoner when you're done. Just keep in mind that the ambush near the southern breach has now moved to the gate, and you'll need to ensure the boy's safe escape.
Now continue east. Once you're off the asphalt, beware of the raider in the building to the right: he's a good grenade thrower. If you don't mind the brahmin, open the gate to the barn, and the cattle will rush off to graze in the minefield. You can safely count on two mine traps and two gates.
You should already have the key to the booth with the switch, which opens the final gate to the boss of this whole gang. He and several other fighters are holed up in a two-story building. The door is tightly locked, and you'll have to enter through the balcony. Beware of the ambushes, which are plentiful here, and descend the internal stairs to the first floor. The boss and two henchmen will be at the bottom. Mow them all down, and that will be the end of the gang.
There's a tasty safe inside; opening it requires a lockpick skill of over 100. Inside is a driving book. If you're feeling adventurous, you can stroll north to scare off the rest of the gang and collect some extra loot. These guys are best picked off from the wall, if you don't mind climbing the ladder. Take the prisoner who gave you the mechanical joint, and, having grabbed the loot, head for the exit.
General Barnaky gives you orders to move to Bunker Beta. Now head to Macomb.
