Rivet City
Once we reach the city, we climb the stairs and, after a conversation over the intercom, they'll build a bridge for us. Once inside, we head to the medical lab and speak with Dr. Li. She easily gives us all the information. It turns out that my father, along with Dr. Li, my mother, and other scientists, were working on Project Purity before I was born. The goal of this project was to create a device that would turn any water, even the most radioactive and dirty, into a clean, potable liquid. Now my father is trying to restart the project, and for this purpose, he's gone to the Jefferson Memorial.
We go there, fortunately, it's not far from River City. We go inside, and instead of the long-awaited meeting with my father, we encounter a bunch of super mutants. We send them to their forefathers and head to the point indicated on the map. My father's parents aren't in the lab either, but his notes are there, stating that he went to Vault 112, which is located near Evergreen Mills. There, he plans to find Dr. Stanislas Bron, the creator of the G.E.C.K. (Garden of Eden Compact Generator), famous from previous installments. This generator can create a paradise even on the most desolate land.
Once again, he didn't manage to find his father, so now we have to follow him again, this time to Vault 112. Alternatively, we can complete additional quests:
Stolen Independence
Given by: Abraham Washington. Location: Museum of History in Rivet City. Reward: 300 Caps.
Abraham Washington of Rivet City will ask you to find the lost Declaration of Independence. Go to the National Archives (near the Mall) and find the passage to the basements. Beware, there are many super mutants in the Archives. In the basements, find the passage to the East Wing, deal with the robots there, and go to the Declaration's storage room. Take the Declaration and go to Rivet City.
Artificial human
Given by: Mr. Zimmer. Location: Rivet City Science Lab. Reward: A3-21 Plasma Rifle OR 50 Caps.
A man named Zimmer is hanging around the Rivet City lab. He asks you to find his android. Agree. You can find notes about the android among doctors in the Capital Wasteland. After gathering the information, visit Pinkerton, who lives in the broken bow of the Rivet City ship. Question him about the android. After learning that the android is Chief of Security Harkness, go to him. Demand a reboot of his system. In gratitude for not handing him over to Zimmer, he will give you his plasma rifle (note: this rifle is an improved version of the standard ones, as it is 1.5 times more powerful).
