Boneyard

Fallout 1 -> Boneyard

An interesting city with many quests. One part of it, Auditum, is ruled by the Regulators, led by Caleb. They perform police functions. The city's mayor, John Cimmeron, was misled by Caleb, who killed his son Josh, and placed the blame on the Blades, a local gang.

If you go to the very bottom of the location, on the left you will see a man who looks very much like a doctor – this is Mayles, the local chemist. He will ask you to repair the hydro-farms in Auditum. Talk to the local stalkers. Lorraine, a punk girl, will tell you where to find parts for the hydro-farms. Look for them in the old warehouses. Head north to a new location; not far from the entrance, you will see the Blaze headquarters. From there, head east to the green field. These are the warehouses and the lair of the Death's Hands. Next, be extremely careful – there are only three Deathclaws, but an encounter with them is mortally dangerous.

In the northeast, in a small house, you'll find a stalker's corpse. Search it, take the parts, and immediately return to Males. He'll tell you the parts are broken and need Smitty to fix them. Smitty is the local technician, living in the eastern building of the Auditum. His shop is very easy to find. Smitty himself is wearing leather armor. Give the parts to Smitty, and after the repairs, return to Males. If you're wearing the Brotherhood T-516 power armor, Males will offer to upgrade it, making it more durable. To do this, you'll need to buy chemistry books from Mrs. Stanton, the librarian in the Hub.

Head to the Hub, make sure you have 750 bottle caps, tell her you're from Males, and buy the books. Next, return to Males and give him the books and the Brotherhood power armor, which he'll upgrade. Mrs. Stelton from the Hub might offer you to buy a refrigerated disc with information about the filter from her - do not buy it - it is an extremely useless thing.

If you have a plasma rifle, after completing the quest to repair the pumps, Smitty can upgrade it to a turbo plasma rifle—the most powerful weapon in the game. The plasma rifle can be purchased from the desert wanderers located east of the Deathclaw warehouses. Simply approach the soldier guarding the bridge and tell him you're interested in weapons, and he'll let you through. The desert wanderers will give you a quest to destroy the Deathclaws. The most important thing is to stay alert, as new Deathclaws will spawn every two hours to replace the ones you kill. You must also destroy the Deathclaw queen, which is laying eggs. The queen is hidden beneath the warehouses; the entrance to her is in the northeasternmost part of the warehouse building.

After destroying the Deathclaws, return to the desert wanderers for a reward and a discount on all weapons they sell.

Go to Cimmeron, the mayor of Auditum, who will ask you to avenge his son and kill the leader of the Blazes. If you're playing as a positive character, don't kill the Blazes, but help them bring the truth about Josh's murder to Cimmeron and rid Auditum of the Regulators. The Blazes will give you a disc containing evidence of the Regulators' involvement in Josh's death, but as soon as you deliver the disc to Cimmeron, the Regulators will kill him and attack you. You can enlist the help of the Wanderers, asking them to deliver weapons to the Blazes and help them fight the Regulators as a reward for saving them from death. If you hit a civilian in Auditum during the battle with the Regulators, they will all turn against you. After destroying the Regulators, return to the Blazes for your reward. MacRae, the Scotsman standing at the entrance, will teach you hand-to-hand combat.

In the Auditum, you can meet a gypsy named Chuck who reads cards. If you ask him to tell your fortune and keep doing so until the Fool card comes up, your luck will increase by one.

West of the Blazes is the Followers of the Apocalypse library. There you'll meet Katya, who can be persuaded to join you. Nicole, the leader of the followers, will ask you to find out everything about the Children of the Cathedral. Find the Children's robe in the room to the left of the children and take it. It will allow you to disguise yourself. Nicole will tell you that among the Children of the Cathedral is their spy, Sister Laura, who will help you open a secret door and tell you a lot, but you need to know the password, which Nicole will give you if you agree to help.

On the lower floor of the library, you'll meet a ghoul who will tell you that there's a child spy among the followers. This quest to find the spy is practically impossible to complete, as it's unfinished. The ghost himself is from your home vault, Vault 13, sent to find the filter and exposed to radiation, as you'll learn from talking to him.

North of the library, you'll see the headquarters of bandit hunters who will pursue you if you kill even one child or your karma gets too low. The Cathedral and the Military Base remain .
