Fallout: New Vegas Walkthrough (Part 2)

Fallout: New Vegas Walkthrough -> Fallout: New Vegas Walkthrough (Part 2)

NIPTON

Talk to Oliver Swanick near the entrance. He'll tell you about the lottery. Then head left into the store. Talk to Boxcars there. He'll tell you about the events in Nipton.

Near the main city building, you'll see an officer of Caesar's Legion. His name is Vulpes Incultus. The legionnaires won't attack unless you shoot them first. Talk to him and then head to City Hall. There, you need to deal with the dogs and search the area. You'll find a lot of interesting items and a Worn Key. It will help you access the items in the basement. Head up to the second floor, where there will be bad dogs. Before searching the bodies, it's best to save. One of the bodies will contain explosives.

After finishing your business on this floor, head upstairs. You'll reach the mayor's office. There's a book there that increases your Science skill. You'll also find magazines that temporarily boost skills and a number of useful items.

You can explore the other houses in town to find plenty of interesting things. But be careful. Sometimes you'll have to shoot.

Once you're done, you can head to Novak. Follow the road on the east side of Nipton. You'll be attacked by enemies along the way. There's also a red cone on the road. Beware! It's mined. Head to Novak and follow the marker.

NOVAC

Fallout: New Vegas walkthrough – in Novac, go to the large motel building. Find Jenny Mae Crawford. Talk to her about the man who shot you. She'll advise you to talk to the locals. You just need to find the crazy No-brak Tunan and talk to him. He's wandering around town.

Afterwards, you need to go to the huge dinosaur statue – the entrance to the motel. Open the gate, go left, to the left side of the statue. There you'll find the entrance to the store and the observation deck. It's in the dinosaur's head. There, talk to Manny Vargas. He'll agree to tell you about the people who attacked you. In exchange, you need to help him. You'll unlock the quest "Come Fly With Me." It's not essential to the story. You can find out information about the man by looking at the terminal on the first floor of Novak's motel, in Manny's room. But it's better to complete the quest. It's interesting. Let's take a closer look at how to complete the quest.

REPCONN

Talk to Manny. He'll tell you there's a "REPCONN Test Facility" west of Novak. Currently, ghouls, led by Jason Bright, have taken up residence there. They're preventing the townspeople from stealing from the factory. Manny himself can't leave his post. Otherwise, Caesar's Legion could attack. So, it's up to you to rid the townspeople of the factory's denizens in Fallout: New Vegas.

Once you receive the mission, head to the marker. You'll pass an abandoned outpost along the way. You'll encounter ghouls and the bodies of dead Nightkins. These mutants have gray-blue skin. Search the area carefully—you'll find plenty of useful loot. One of the trophies is a Cowboy Repeater, a very powerful weapon.

Once you've collected everything, continue on until you see a large factory building. Ahead of it, near the rocket statue, you'll be attacked by Feral Ghouls. You'll deal with them easily. At the entrance, however, you'll find Wandering Ghouls. They're slightly better equipped and also have more hit points. The key is to aim accurately. You'll find some ammunition there, but it's not much. Go inside.

A dialogue with the Ghoul will immediately begin through a speaker on the wall. He'll tell you to reach the corner room. There'll be a metal staircase in it. Climb it. It's best to explore the factory first and then follow the route.

Fallout: New Vegas – game walkthrough. When the conversation ends, get ready to kill two Wild Ghouls. Then check the restroom. The lockers will contain lockpicks, a Super Stimpak, and Stimpaks.

Search every room in the building, taking what you can. There will be glowing piles of ash in the hallways. So, you can find something in them. So, when you've searched everything, go to the room with the stairs. It's located in the far corner.

Climb up and enter the door near the ceiling. There you'll meet the ghoul who spoke through the speaker. In reality, he's just a man who prefers to call himself a ghoul. He'll lead you to the leader, Jason Bright.

Jason will mention the demons that attacked the Ghouls when they came to the basement to pray to their god. Now the basements are inhabited by demons. These demons are called Nightkin. They simply cannot be seen. However, they can be identified by vibrations in the air. Jason will ask you to clear the basement of Nightkin.

The Fallout: New Vegas walkthrough continues. You'll find the door to the basement near the large staircase. Go down and save immediately. You have two options here: kill all the Nightkins, or find Davison and ask him to leave the factory. If you choose the latter, you'll learn they're here for Stealth Boys. They're located in a room next to Davison's, guarded by an armed Ghaul.

After the conversation ends, Davison gives you the key to the room where the Stealth Boys are. Ghaul Harland is also surrounded by traps and snares, and he's protected himself by failing to escape. In this case, you have two options: simply kill him or help him. Ghaul will ask you to find out if his friend is alive. You'll find her body in another part of the basement. There are many Nightkin there. After fulfilling the request, save and carefully proceed through the trap room where the Nightkin was. Activate the terminal at the end of the room. You'll learn that the Stealth Boys were brought here by mistake. Naturally, the Nightkin can now leave the Factory.

If you want to destroy all the Nightkin, use anti-personnel mines against Davison. If you've collected all the loot, you'll have plenty. Before opening the door to Davison, place mines in the hallway, spaced a meter or two apart. As you progress through Fallout: New Vegas, talk to Davison. Then, run five meters away from the last mine. He's a tough guy, so this kind of damage might leave him alive. But it will still cripple him. All you have to do is finish him off.

Return upstairs to Jason and inform him of your success. However, he'll send you back to the basement and go with you, taking the Ghauls with him. You need to go to the room behind the one Davison was in. Use the switch on the wall to open a staircase. Descend it and follow the waypoint to the room with the window overlooking the missile launch pad.

Chris, a human ghoul, will be in the room, along with Jason Bright. It turns out the missiles you see are needed to launch them to the Beyond. However, two important components need to be obtained: the Ignition Element Isotope-239 and the Thrust Control Module. Yes, you'll be the one searching for them!

Accept the mission from Chris and exit through the hatch. You'll need to remember the hatch's location to return quickly and safely. Use the Pip-Boy to teleport to Novac, then head to the waypoint on foot. To obtain Isotope-239, you'll need to purchase souvenir rockets from the Dyno Shop or follow the road southeast of Novac and thoroughly search the body. You can obtain the Thrust Module from Old Lady Gibson. You can purchase it for 500 caps, or less if you have certain skills. Of course, you can simply use force and take it. Then deal with her and her dogs. Once you've obtained everything, return to the factory to continue playing Fallout: New Vegas.

Upon returning to Chris, head to the missile launch control room. Go to where Jason and his team were standing. Then follow the marker to the door. Beyond it will be a room with the navigation system and the launch system. If you have a Science skill greater than 55, you can optimize the flight path or force the missiles to collide by changing their coordinates. It's important that you complete the mission.

Go back to the dinosaur statue, to Manny. Ask about the man in the suit.
