Artifacts (Part 2)

Stalker: Call of Pripyat  → Artifacts (Part 2)

The Oasis Heart is an artifact from the center of the legendary Oasis. Apparently, it is a crystallized plant that has inherited the Oasis's inherent properties of beneficially influencing the body as a whole. It is extremely radioactive, unlike the Oasis itself.

Effect: Health restoration: +1, Saturation: +1, Strength restoration: +1, Wound healing: +2,  Radiation: +4;

The modified steering wheel —it was once the steering wheel of a dredger, but now before my eyes is a roughly half-formed artifact. And the artifact is quite unusual: it glows intensely, emits faint light—that's all.

Effect: Radiation: +6;

Altered Insulator - This item was once an electrical insulator. Now it's almost completely transformed into an artifact, characterized by unstable properties. It was most likely the source of the alternating psionic radiation.

Effect: Radiation: +6;

The compass —last discovered many months ago—has the ability to reveal gaps in anomalous fields. It's said to allow one to safely navigate through even the most complex anomalies, but very few know how to use it.

Effect: Thermal protection: +3, Chemical protection: +3, Psi protection: +3, Electrical protection: +3, Strength recovery: +2Radiation: +4;

The Stone Flower is an artifact made of a stone similar in properties to granite. It forms within gravitational fields of extreme intensity. It can completely or partially protect its owner's sanity from psionic influence.

Effect: Psi-protection: +3, Radiation: +1;

Moonlight —this electrostatic artifact exhibits the ability to resonate when exposed to psionic waves. Over time, stalkers learned to adjust Moonlight so that it resonates in phase with the primary radiation source, thereby completely or largely neutralizing psionic influence.

Effect: Psi-protection: +6, Radiation: +2;

The crystal artifact appears in anomalous zones under the influence of high temperatures. It actively absorbs excess heat from the space around it, while remaining cool to the touch.

Effect: Thermal protection: +3, Radiation: +1;

Fireball - despite its name, which perfectly reflects the nature of this artifact, the "Fireball" can be easily held in the hand without fear of burns. It is prized for its ability to maintain a constant temperature of approximately 24 degrees Celsius within a small radius, regardless of environmental conditions.

Effect: Thermal protection: +6, Radiation: +2;

Stone blood is a reddish formation of compressed and fossilized plant, soil, and animal remains. It has the ability to partially neutralize chemicals harmful to humans.

Effect: Chemical protection: +3, Radiation: +1;

A hunk of meat is an organic artifact. It consists of deformed animal tissue. When exposed to chemical contamination, it begins to "pull" chemicals from the air, converting them into a thick, viscous mass.

Effect: Chemical protection: +6, Radiation: +2;

A sparkler is a member of a family of electrostatic artifacts, named for its brightness. It has the ability to smooth out fluctuations in electric field strength.

Effect: Electrical protection: +3, Radiation: +1;

The Flash is an electrostatic artifact. It exhibits a remarkable ability to absorb and then dissipate electrical charges. It can protect the human body from exposure to strong and high-voltage electric currents.

Effect: Electrical protection: +6, Radiation: +2;
