Quest perks

Ant Power (Them!) - Assist in eliminating giant fire ants without killing their queen.    

Bonus: +1 STR and +25% fire resistance. id: 000C1A6B

Ant's Gaze (Them!) - Same as above, but choose this perk instead.

Bonus: +1 AP and +25% fire resistance. id: 000C1A6C

Thick Hide (Oasis) - Kill Harold.    

Bonus: Damage resistance +5%. id: 00035E04

Critic (Wasteland Survival Guide) - Convince Moira Brown not to write "Wasteland Survival Guide".

Bonus: -50% enemy critical hit chance. id: 00030FEB

Bloodsucker (Blood Bonds) - Talk to Vance and tell him you want to become a vampire. 

Bonus: Blood packs restore 20 HP instead of 1 HP. id: 00003131

Power Armor Training (Train at Brotherhood of Steel) - Without this perk, you will not be able to wear Power Armor pieces.    

Bonus: Now you can equip any Power Armor. id: 00058FDF

Rad Regeneration (Wasteland Survival Guide) - Help Moira Brown write the Wasteland Survival Guide by receiving 600 rads when she asks. With this perk, damaged limbs will automatically regenerate when exposed to a certain level of radiation.

Bonus: Damaged limbs regenerate when exposed to 400+ rads. id: 0003066B

Super Reflexes (Artificial Human) - Side with Dr. Zimmer. Advanced Commonwealth technology has increased your reaction speed, giving you a 10% higher chance of hitting in VATS. There's also an option to get both the perk and the A3-21 Plasma Rifle.

Bonus: +10% accuracy in VATS. id: 00024D5C

Scout (Novice / Expert / Master)

Help Moira Brown finish the Wasteland Survival Guide by completing the final chapter. See the options below:


Rookie Scout  (less than 5 side quests completed):

  • Normal (None / Top answers): +2% Poison and Radiation Resistance +5 HP. id: 0002D3A2
  • Intelligent (INT): +2 Medicine, +2 Science. id: 000331D4
  • Tough (STR, GNS): +2 DR. id: 000331D5
  • Cunning (DEX, CHA): +2 Stealth, +2 Speech. id: 000331D6
  • Sneaky (Pe / Bottom answers): +1% critical hit chance. id: 000331D7


Expert Scout  (5-8 additional tasks completed):

  • Normal (None / Top answers): +4% Poison and Radiation Protection +10 HP. id: 0002D3A1
  • Intelligent (INT): +4 Medicine, +4 Science. id: 000331D8
  • Tough (STR, VNS): +4 DR. id: 000331D9
  • Cunning (DEX, CHA): +4 Stealth, +4 Eloquence. id: 000331DA
  • Snide (Pe / Bottom answers): +2% critical hit chance. id: 000331DB


Master Scout  (all additional tasks completed):

  • Normal (None / Top answers): +6% Poison and Radiation Protection +15 HP. id: 0002D3A0
  • Intelligent (INT): +6 Medicine, +6 Science. id: 000331DC
  • Tough (STR, VNS): +6 DR. id: 000331DD
  • Cunning (DEX, CHA): +6 Stealth, +6 Eloquence. id: 000331DE
  • Sneaky (Pe /Lower Answers): +3% critical hit chance. id: 000331DF

*Note: Attempting to add the perk through the console before fulfilling the quest requirements may cause the game to crash or malfunction.


Codes can be used by opening the console in the PC version and entering the following commands:

  • player.removeperk [perk code]
  • player.addperk [perk code]

Replace [perk code] with the code provided for the desired perk. For perks with ranks, repeat the process until you reach the appropriate rank. Codes in brackets "()" are for female characters. If the character already has the perk, nothing will display when entered in the console.
