Stalker: Call of Pripyat → Quests → Tools (Zaton and Jupiter)
Mechanics in both locations will ask you to find tools for them, as they are the only way to modify armor and weapons.
Where are the tools?
- A set of rough-hewn tools is in the attic of the sawmill in Zaton. Be careful, there are a lot of zombies there!
- A set of tools for fine work at Zaton is located in the Substation Workshops.
- A set of tools for rough work in the vicinity of "Jupiter" – south of Yanov, there's a train car (under the bridge) where the Electra anomaly is running. That's where they're kept.
- A set of fine tools in the vicinity of "Jupiter" - one of the buildings in the Jupiter factory, attic. Beware of the large number of "Electra" anomalies!
- Two calibration tool kits can be found in Pripyat. One is in the Department Store basement. The only problem is, there's a ton of jerboas there. The second is on the second floor of the old KBO. There are a lot of Electra anomalies there, and a whole burer. It's best to approach it with a shotgun or a knife.
Both techniques provide special upgrades after bringing a full set of tools. For example, Cardan can modify the exoskeleton to the fourth generation, and you can run in it as if it were a regular suit.
