Herderscheid and Rokopolis
This tiny settlement beneath a collapsed highway is home to just two people: Sierra Petrovita and Ronald Laren. A chance encounter with the Scavenger in the Capital Wasteland, if you purchase a bottle of Quantum Cola from him, can earn you a Herdershade Mark in your Pip-Boy. The quests "Cola Run," "Grady's Package," and "Mississippi Pie" can be found here.
Sierra Petrovita is addicted to Nuka-Cola and avidly collects any related items. If you speak to her, Sierra will invite you into her house, where she will show you her vast collection of Quantum Cola-themed items and ask you to get her 30 bottles of Quantum Cola. If the task is successfully completed, she will pay 40 BK per bottle, and if you ask her about recipes, she will prepare a Mississippi pie for the hero using the ingredients that you will need to obtain (Quantum Cola, vodka, and flour, which is rare in the game).
Ronald Laren, Sierra's 29-year-old neighbor, dreams of sleeping with her and is willing to buy the collected amount of bottles for the same price (or double the price, if you have a high Speech skill). If you play as a female character and have the Black Widow trait, you can persuade him to get the required amount of Cola yourself, promising to engage in group sex with him and Sierra in exchange. He will then head to the Nuka-Cola factory, and if you encounter him there for the first time, he will simply be standing in the foyer.
If you leave the location and return, Ronald will already be dead. However, you can loot his D75 A2 V350 Bone Crusher without losing karma. Laren is also a character in the quest "Grady's Package": if you deliver him the "Sexy Nightgown" (+10 Speech, +1 Luck), he will pay 300 (400) BC for it. If you give him the Nightgown and then successfully steal it back, the item's condition will improve to 100%. After completing the "Vegetable Moisture" quest, an Enclave outpost will appear north of the settlement: an officer, two privates, and two Deathclaws.
Rokopolis
This location is extremely difficult to find, despite being located directly north of Herdershade and west of Casey Smith's Garage. The best time to search for the entrance is during the day, when the hidden entrance on the ridge can be identified by two dead trees on the left and one on the right, and a garland of flags directly above the entrance. Rokopolis was once a secret underground refuge for a group of survivors, who allowed outsiders in only by secretly knocking on the door.
At that time, King Craig was the king (or mayor) of the settlement. Herbert Dashwood, who lives in Tenpenny Tower , inadvertently brought Penelope Chase, the leader of the Slavers, to Rokopolis. Argyle, Dashwood's servant and assistant, saved his life by getting ahead of Chase and killing her before she could kill Dashwood, but he himself died. Dashwood was no longer able to protect Rokopolis from the slavers.
The entire population was captured and taken away from the settlement. No one remains. Cockroaches, scorpions, and giant scorpions can be found throughout the premises, as well as numerous robots guarding the rooms. Trophies: "Unarmed +10" figurine (to the right of the entrance, pass the torch, next to Argyle's body).
Trap! The wall to the left of the entrance rises, revealing a corridor-like structure. If you enter, the trap will snap shut, making it impossible to exit. Returning to Tenpenny Tower and informing Dashwood of Argyle's death will reward you.
