Fallout 3 (Walkthrough) with DLC's -> Fort Independence
The Brotherhood of Steel's Outcast stronghold in the Capital Wasteland, east of the Fairfax ruins. Warriors who abandoned the Lion's Pride have adapted the building for their own purposes, serving as both a fortress and a repository for technology recovered from the Wasteland. By default, all Outcasts within the building are hostile to visitors. The Lone Wanderer can only gain entry by satisfying Protector Kasdan's request to deliver a number of technological artifacts. The building is guarded from the outside by Protector Morgan, Protector Rockfall, and an automated turret. After speaking with Morgan about work, the latter will summon the Protector, who will open the outer fence, allowing the hero to approach. The Protector has a key to the fort, which is an alternative to picking the J-lock.
To be considered "friendly enough" to allow unimpeded access to the fort, the hero must exchange a sufficient number of items for 5.56 rounds, stimulants, anti-radiation medications, or grenades. Below is a table of the value of the delivered items, converted to the specified ammunition and medications:

An artifact's condition doesn't affect its value. If the hero negotiates with Kasdan while wearing Forsworn armor, Kasdan will take it without compensation. If you give him Enclave Power Armor or Tesla Armor (minus the helmet), he will immediately change into it, or in some cases, into regular Power Armor. The exception is Linden's Forsworn Power Armor, a quest-related item. If you give him an "Alien" blaster and then steal it back or loot it from Kasdan's dead body, the weapon's condition will be restored to 100%. Stealing it grants the hero a large number of bonuses without a negative effect on karma.
If Kasdan sees the hero picking a door, he will become hostile upon exiting. However, if he is killed by an accompanying NPC, it will not affect the hero's karma. This especially applies to Elder Paladin Star. If released in close proximity to Kasdan, she'll immediately begin firing at all nearby Forsworn and will almost certainly emerge victorious. Furthermore, if other Forsworn (such as Morgan) are nearby, they'll help finish Kasdan off. With the Lawbringer Perk, all Forsworn except Kasdan will be marked with red markers and will begin dropping fingers (which can be exchanged for a reward).
There's no exact information on how many trophies one needs to sell to Kasdan to achieve this "friendly" status. Apparently, selling more than 15 laser pistols, a full set of Enclave armor, and Tesla armor is enough to earn J's affection. The Alien Blaster is extremely valuable to the Outcasts; it can be given away and stolen back multiple times, providing free repairs. It's important to remember that achieving this status in no way guarantees free access to Fort Independence!
The hero will still have to either hack the front door or steal the key from Kasdan. All the significant trophies in the fort are concentrated on the lower level. There's a room with numerous research terminals there; activating them adds numerous notes about the unique Miss Launcher grenade launcher, a minigun, and numerous zincs containing various ammunition, including Alien Power Cells, plasma and laser rifles, and Quantum Cola. There's also a medical lab there, which might yield useful weapon schematics and stimulants.
