Falls Church North | Fallout 3

Falls Church North

This location marks the start of the "Save Initiate Peck" quest. It's recommended to equip a combat shotgun. When the hero emerges from the subway tunnel onto the station platform, he immediately witnesses a shootout between Brotherhood of Steel paladins and mutants. At least one paladin has already fallen victim to this firefight. The BS unit is led by Senior Paladin Hoss.

Help him deal with the mutants at the station itself. He will ask for help rescuing Initiate Peck (a nod to Steven Spielberg's film "Saving Private Ryan"), who has become separated from his comrades and is hiding in one of the rooms of the office building to the right, across the bridge from the station. This will still not grant you Brotherhood membership, but the quest is worth accepting.

Important! Ignoring Hoss, the hero rushes forward across the bridge to the entrance of the building marked "ENTRANCE," shooting the mutants running towards him point-blank with a shotgun. He then proceeds straight into the building.

We quietly circle the rooms to the left until a large room looms through a broken door to the right. We run in with a shout of "Hurray!" and shoot another bunch of mutants, the leader of whom is armed with a minigun. All this fuss is necessary for one reason: if we delay along the way, we might find poor Peck already cold. As it is, we find him alive, well, and very grateful for his rescue in a small room behind the room with the defeated mutants. Paladin Hoss is also pleased, offering to escort the hero, under the protection of the Brotherhood, throughout Falls Church.

Since we don't need that, we part with our newfound friends and begin methodically searching the outskirts of Falls Church. No good deed goes unpunished. This pair, Hoss and Peck, will subsequently be constantly hanging around Megaton and the surrounding area. Peck has become so brazen: I woke up one day to see the smiling face of the Initiate standing like a pillar next to my bed on the second floor of the house. Imagine the outrage of a young girl (I was playing a female character. At least I wasn't wearing a revealing nightgown)!

The area is full of mutant patrols and stationary firing positions. Shotguns and sniper rifles reign supreme. Moving left from the building where the previous drama unfolded, we come across a twin building with a similar sign. I recommend searching the second floor. There was also a battle between mutants and paladins there. In addition to the suit of power armor the hero picked up on the station platform, at least two more are taken (+2 paladin tokens). To the left of this building is a mutant firing position on the second floor of a destroyed building.

We move on. The Falls Church East location opens. Further down the street is Falls Church North. From this subway entrance, you can see a vertical green sign further down the street: LOB Enterprises. The headquarters of collaborators who worked with the Chinese. The high-rise building is guarded by combat robots (Protectors, Robobrains, Mr. Brave). There are traps. In the east wing, in the manager's office on the third floor, behind a locked door, in a locked box is a Zhu-Rong v418 Chinese Pistol (AC10, A10mm, damage - higher than 10mm pistol + fire damage).

The room is guarded by a Protectron and a Sentry Bot combat robot. In most rooms on this floor, there are laser pistols in cabinets; a laser rifle is on the floor. The building has three above-ground levels (the ruined upper level consists of two distinct locations) and two underground levels. A copy of "The Chinese People's Army Special Forces Training Manual" (in the Archives, next to the work terminal), "The Illustrated Manual of Fist Fighting" (on a shelf in the storage room in the southeast corner of the building), two bottles of Quantum Cola, and at least two "invisible" devices. Nothing else to do here. It's a "spot" within Washington, D.C., devastated by nuclear explosions. Let's continue south.

Franklin Technical Tunnel

Between the Falls Church and Mason District subway stations is a tunnel. Once it's discovered (Falls Church / Mason District Metro complex, backtrack along the passage behind the mezzanine), follow it to the point where the tunnel goes underwater. Enter the water and turn left through the gap in the tunnel wall. Then swim right until the floor level rises. Next is a room with a large number of barrels of radioactive waste and 2-3 Glowing Ones. At the end of this room are several zinc boxes with ammunition and The Burnmaster, a unique flamethrower in the game. This weapon's damage is not affected by the Pyromaniac skill.
