Deathclaw Lair
Located in the northwest quadrant between Dickerson's Chapel and the KV5 Broadcast Tower, southwest of Fort Constantine or south of Sat Com Array NW-05a. Before entering the Sanctuary, there's a small ledge littered with the skeletons of Deathclaw victims. Further along, at the base of the cliff, is a bridge over a deep ravine. There's a chance for a random encounter.
After completing the "Vegetable Moisture" quest, an Enclave group will spawn to the northeast of the location. Typically, this consists of a soldier in Tesla armor and a Scientist.
The location itself is a group of caves inhabited by several Deathclaws, serving as both a nesting site and a storage area. Bodies and body parts are scattered throughout the area: Wastelanders, Raiders, mercenaries, and the rotting remains of Brahmin.
Some corpses drop decent loot, including the "Duck and Cover!" in a closed zinc case, the "Endurance +1" figurine (in the first large chamber directly south of the main entrance), Nikola Tesla and You (there), a nuclear charge, Quantum Cola, two random sniper rifles and, if you visit the location after completing the "Moisture of Life" quest - a unique Jack the Ripper (d35, crit d 15 w6), which is on the body of an Enclave officer.
This weapon, which deals an additional 50% damage to limbs and can be repaired with the commonly encountered standard Rippers, is perhaps the ultimate melee weapon. Deathclaws take 3-7 seconds to destroy, and are especially deadly in stealth and VATS modes, with the Better Criticals and Ninja perks.
Another unique weapon in this location is the Vengeance, a Gatling Laser (d176, 240 HP magazine) found in the far southeast corner, next to a pool of blood. The only problem with this last weapon is the difficulty of repairing it, as the number of standard Gatling Lasers in the game is clearly not overwhelming.
Dickerson's Chapel
A ruined church in the northwest, between the Deathclaw Hideout, the WKLM broadcast station, and the Mount Mabel camp. A sniper nicknamed "Tumbleweed" is perched in the church's bell tower, armed with a Reserve Rifle (a unique sniper rifle). A copy of "Guns and Bullets" is also located there next to some ammo boxes, a cassette tape from Oasis, and two Stimpaks hidden under a box of laundry detergent. A random glitch occasionally occurs, causing the sniper to disappear and never reappear. If you need to get him off the ground, it's best to use a grenade launcher to knock his body off the bell tower.
When firing other weapons, it's recommended to aim for the limbs so that at least part of the body falls to the ground and can be searched. There's also a way to reach the perch where the sniper is perched. There's a crate of laundry detergent at the back of the church. You just need to move it under the platform, climb onto the box, and then you can reach the sniper's body to take the trophies.
Mount Mabel Camp
Located southwest of Dickerson's Chapel, it features several campers and picnic tables. Raiders can sometimes be found in the camp, while other times the area is completely abandoned. Ammunition, medical supplies, and weapon crafting parts can be found in the area.
KV5 radio broadcasting tower
Situated high in the cliffs west of Deathclaw Haven, the underground sewer chamber southeast of the tower contains a copy of Tumblers Today (just before the closed middle door), a pre-war book (behind that door), a bunk, and is home to several zombies. A ham radio with a skeletal operator sitting in front of it transmits the Alpha Lima signal through the tower.
The tower is the site of a possible random encounter. One possibility is a refrigerator filled with clean water and several Wastelanders arguing over it. You can leave, kill them, or use your Speech skill to persuade them to share the water.
West of the tower, among the vehicle barricades, several Raiders are holed up. Loot available at their camp includes the Grognak the Barbarian, the Invisible Man, and the Super Sledgehammer. North of the camp, there's a bridge with a trailer containing a nuclear charge and other supplies. You might also encounter a merchant here.
