Bestiary of Creatures
As in all previous games, one of the main dangers isn't humans, but mutants, of which there are a great many in the Wasteland. When facing them, you need to know which weapons are suitable for which monster type, as what kills a zombie is unlikely to kill a super mutant.
Ordinary monsters
1. Radroaches. Your very first enemies in the game. This is simply a very large cockroach that can run fast and bite. In the early stages of the game, it is best to use melee weapons against them.
2. Mole Rats. Medium-sized beasts, completely devoid of sight and tact. They usually attack in a pack and are easily killed with a shotgun to the head. There is also a special weapon against them - "Repellent". You can only get it after completing a certain quest ("Wasteland Survival Guide").
3. Drutni. Mutated bees. They shoot their own stingers and are worthless in close combat. One or two shots from a simple pistol solve this problem.
4. Dogs. Dogs come in all shapes and sizes - from feral to tamed. They are dangerous only if they attack in a pack.
5. Radscorpions. An impressively large creature that is best fought with either a shotgun or an assault rifle. Try to keep them away from you, because in the early stages of the game they are some of the most difficult opponents.
Swamp creatures
6. Marshmen. A crab-like creature that walks on two legs. It has a virtually impenetrable shell and can only be killed with a well-aimed shot to the snout.
7. Swamp Hunters. Larger than the average Swamp Hunter, the Swamp Hunter has a more durable shell and longer claws. It's recommended to shoot off their legs early.
8. Swamp Chieftains. These telekinetic monsters can shatter your psyche with their howls. They almost always have a retinue of two or three hunters and five regulars.
Skinny inhabitants
9. Feral Ghouls. Skeletal zombies that have lost all sense of reason. They tend to live in the subway, screaming at the top of their lungs and running fast. A shot to the head calms them down perfectly.
10. Feral Ghoul-Wanderers. Roughly the same as regular Feral Ghouls, but they run a bit faster. They wear some kind of body armor and are a bit harder to kill.
Muscular guys
11. Centaurs. Creatures that resemble a sphinx, the bloodsucker from "Stalker," and also an ugly creature of unknown origin. Can spit radiation spits and whip with tentacles.
12. Super mutants. Old acquaintances have practically not changed since the first part. Just as big and ferocious, still just as stupid and strong. They carry guns, clubs, or grenades. Killing them (at first) is difficult, but a machine gun or a shotgun will always help you.
13. Super mutants-beasts. A more advanced version of a super mutant. Carries a minigun, a rocket launcher, or an assault rifle. They take a very long time to kill.
14. Glowing ghouls. The pinnacle of the evolution of feral ghouls. They can douse you with a lethal dose of radiation, and also heal their relatives. Killing them is extremely difficult.
15. Nuclear reactors. A type of swamp lurker that inhabits exclusively the ruins of the Nuka-Cola plant. They are distinguished by their extremely aggressive nature, large size, and bright blue color. Their strength is roughly equivalent to that of a hunter.
16. Super Mutant Masters. A colossal monster clad in homemade armor. They carry a minigun, an assault rifle, or a bazooka.
17. Super Mutant Behemoths. The largest monster in the game. A giant nearly six meters tall, they wield a fire hydrant and pipe ripped out of the ground. Taking them down alone is practically impossible unless you have a cannon called the "Fat Man." This mini-nuclear rocket launcher will help you out as much as it can. Fortunately, this creature only appears three or four times in the game.
Guaranteed death
18. Deathclaws. These massive half-lizard, half-kangaroo creatures can dispatch you with a single blow. They're extremely difficult to fight, as they move at incredible speeds. A minigun, grenade launcher, and shotgun are recommended.
19. Giant Radscorpions. These enormous creatures are encased in a virtually invulnerable shell. Killing them is extremely difficult, but a rocket launcher or minigun can help.
As you can see from this list, there are enough mutant species to make your stay in this world unforgettable.
