In New Vegas, you can not only search for skill-boosting booklets but also collect souvenir "snow globes." There are seven of these globes, and collecting them can yield significant rewards. Collected globes are stored in the presidential suite of the Lucky 38 casino, on a special pedestal, and Mr. House's girlfriend, Jane, places them there.
She can be found opposite the elevator, in a huge room with monitors, and you can bring her trophies at any time. For each globe, Jane gives 2,000 caps (this is the easiest way to earn money in the game). These items cannot be dropped from your backpack (they are considered quest items), and if you kill Jane or House, there will be no one to collect the reward from, and the "snow globes" will remain in your inventory forever.
