Willow also no longer sets herself on fire when her sanity is low; instead, she overheats more slowly. Temporary sanity-lowering effects are 10% more effective on Willow. This was done to prevent players from accidentally or intentionally burning down other players' bases on servers.
The lighter now has durability and a recipe, and can also be used to fry food. Willow also has her old pet bear, Bernie. Both unique items can be used by other players (only Willow can cook food with the lighter).

An effective start
Willow is considered a beginner-friendly character due to her interaction with fire. This may be why she's the first unlockable character: surviving 8 days is enough to unlock her. Her abilities are designed to help players who are still struggling with the game's light mechanics. However, some experienced players believe they can also use them to great advantage. Others believe that Willow's abilities are only useful in certain situations, such as:
- When she's in a dense, burning forest.
- When night falls and the player has no light source for some reason (frogs knocked the torch out of their inventory, the Hands of Night put out the campfire, or the player simply forgot about the approaching darkness), her lighter will be a lifesaver.
- Willow's fire immunity isn't vital, as fire damage to other characters isn't dealt to them immediately, but after 1-2 seconds, and doesn't pose much of a threat if they're wearing at least some armor. In general, fire is a much smaller threat than spiders, tentacles, hounds, and killer bees, so immunity is a situational bonus.

- Willow's voice is a flute.
- When examining the tent, she says that she was a Girl Scout and earned all the badges.
- When examining a mechanical horse, she says, "It's a pony!"
- Willow has a mental disorder called pyromania. It manifests itself in a morbid attraction to arson.
- It is not known exactly whether Willow sets the ground on fire with matches when her sanity is low, or if this is a case of pyrokinesis - the ability to ignite objects with the power of thought.
- Willow's persona is based on the novel "Firestarter" by Stephen King.
- The dragon fly does not set Willow on fire with its attack, which makes the battle much easier.
- If you put out buildings with your hands, you will not be damaged, but the character will say that he got burned.
- When examining a red umbrella, she says, "I love the color!" She also says that all red things are beautiful, for example: a red mushroom - "Pretty!", a ruby - "So pretty!" Therefore, it can be assumed that red is Willow's favorite color.
