Terraria Wiki → Sky Towers (boss or event?)
Option 1 (Expert mod)
You need:
- The best armor that suits your class and is available to you now.
- The best weapon you have.
Shiny stone
- 3-5 large healing potions.
- Wings
- Reforge all axes to +3-4 defense.
You can take:
- Potion of iron skin, stamina, regeneration.
- Vampire knives
Combat:
Enter the part of the tower's biome where the color of that biome appears, stand there for 3 seconds, then exit and smash the mobs that fly in. Repeat this until the jets of water flying at the tower when killing mobs stop appearing if the tower has a shield.
Option 2
This tactic works on all towers (except the solar one).
You'll only need two items. No potions or axes.
We'll need the Influx Sway or Terra Sword and the Space Car Key. Since the UFO flies indefinitely and the swords it fires don't consume mana, we simply fly the UFO around the towers and use the swords to shoot mobs, and then the tower itself. Personally, I destroyed all three towers without dying, even with 100 HP, no armor, and no Axes.
Option 3
1. The tactics are very simple and don't require any special skill. You'll only need patience.
2. We'll need:
- Armor absolutely ANY (I went without);
- Mini or Mega Shark, and more than 400 rounds of ammunition for it, preferably silver cartridges, but if money is tight, musket cartridges will do;
- Fire and lamp with heart;
- There are two mandatory accessories: Depth Gauge and Damage Counter. While the former is required, the latter is possible, but you'll need to die once. Otherwise, any accessories are fine, but preferably something offensive with a good prefix.
- HP to your taste, but the more the better.
- And, as I said earlier, patience.
3. Here's the tactic itself: dig under any biome and fight the monsters there, set up a campfire and a lamp, and get to work. If you want to do this with the Shark, buy more ammo. Continue this way until you reach 100, or 150 if you're on Expert mode. After you find out the shield is gone (souls aren't flying out of mobs), head to a plain at an altitude of 120-140.
