Medical history
Dr. Richardson asks you to investigate the disappearance of some medical supplies. Private Stone is to blame for the whole incident. You can prove his involvement with Medicine (50), stealing an empty syringe from his pockets, or talking to Private Sexten about the disappearance (he'll cite Stone's suspicious behavior). If you have a high Speech skill, convince Stone to turn himself in and gain fame and karma. Otherwise, if you turn yourself in, you'll only gain fame. Stone can also give us the medical supplies if we hush up his case.
Return of Hope
Issued by Major Polatli. The major will first ask you to obtain supplies for the camp. We speak with the quartermaster and learn from him that he sent men to Helios. We question the lieutenant on Helios's territory. She will tell us that she issued the supplies and planted a tracking beacon in them. We head to the wind farm area and retrieve them. As soon as the supplies are in our hands, the main character will attack a Legion detachment.
The next step is to help Dr. Richardson with the wounded. A Medicine skill of 20 to 70 is required. If your Medicine skill isn't developed, you can use medications and medical equipment (medicines can be purchased, for example, at the New Vegas clinic, and equipment can be found in the tent there).
Finally, we'll be offered to participate in Nelson's purge. Simply kill all the legionnaires and their dean.
Boomerang
Issued by Sergeant Rice. We need to distribute new radio encryption codes to ranger outposts. After the codes are delivered, the main characters will be asked to investigate suspicious reports from outposts. Once the incoming information turns out to be false, we'll be sent to Camp Golf to speak with Ranger Henlen. You can only speak to him when he's sitting on the balcony (during daylight hours). We convince him to stop tampering with outpost reports.
Wherever I wander...
Given by Private Rynolds on the way to Tenacchicap Mine. You need to free the captured soldiers held by the Legion in this mine with a hard-to-pronounce name. You can simply pick the locks (skill 60) or clear the cave and take the key from the Legionnaire's dean.
Interesting points:
1. Private Sexten challenges us to a Legionnaire kill challenge with NCR soldiers and asks us to bring him their ears as proof.
2. The NCR Heavy Troopers' power armor doesn't require skill to wear. You can obtain it by quietly eliminating one of them.
