Fallout: New Vegas Walkthrough -> Snow Globes
In Fallout: New Vegas, players are encouraged to collect stylish snow globe souvenirs. Collected globes are stored on a special pedestal in the presidential suite of the Lucky 38 casino. They are placed there by Mr. House's friend, Jane. She accepts souvenirs 24/7, waiting for the player across from the elevator in the penthouse, where House has a ton of monitors:
If you are (or are planning to be) collecting these souvenirs, you should remember that:
- After handing over each of the seven souvenirs, Jane will give you 2000 caps.
- Each ball weighs 1 pound and will not disappear from your inventory as it is considered a quest item.
- If you killed Jane, there will be no one to hand over the souvenirs to.
- If you killed House or disconnected him from life support, Jane will disappear and the souvenirs will remain in your backpack forever.
- Even if you plan to kill House or destroy the Securitrons, don't be lazy and collect the ball hidden in the Lucky 38 area - it will be the easiest 2000 caps in the entire game.
- Even if the characters living in the building are near you when you take the souvenir, they will not react to it in any way.
Where is the ball?
Goodsprings - In the Goodsprings Cemetery, next to one of the tombstones. The best time to pick up this souvenir is during one of Sunny Smiles' quests. ID: 0015db3a.
Hoover Dam - The souvenir awaits the player in the first building, the Information Center, on a counter in the center of the hall. ID: 0015db39.
Mormon Fort - The ball is located in the only building accessible from the fort grounds. Open the wooden door, climb the ladder, and take the toy from the shelf. ID: 0015db37.
Mount Charleston - The ball is located in the only building in Jacobstown that can be visited. It's on the counter in the hotel (opposite the front door). ID: 0015db38.
Nellis Air Force Base - The orb is on a table in the Bomber Museum. Elder Pearl can direct the player to this building if they need to gain the trust of the base's residents. ID: 0015db3c.
Polygon - The name of this toy may seem odd, considering it's located in the Lucky 38 casino. It can be found behind one of the cash registers in the cocktail lounge. This snow globe was most likely originally located in the Old Nuclear Test Site. ID: 0015db3b.
The Strip - First, you need to get to New Vegas. Then, enter the Strip. After that, in the furthest location, you'll find Vault 21. The orb is located on a table next to the bed in Sarah's room. Sarah herself will tell you the location of the room during the vault tour. You can get there either by hacking or by stealing Sarah's keycard. ID: 0015db3d.
