Wigfrid

Wigfrid (Wigfrid) - Wigfrid looks like a red-haired Valkyrie, but she's actually an actress who got too into character. She was based on the unrealized character Winnie: small white eyes, defined lips, and two pigtails.

When the corpses of creatures killed by Wigfrid disappear, a special animation of a dove taking flight may occur, symbolizing the soul's exit from the body. Her name may be a reference to the hero of Norse mythology, Siegfried, or to a place called Vigrid, the battlefield where the main events of Ragnarok will take place.

The character's appearance is an allusion to the Valkyries, who were depicted as warrior maidens in armor and with weapons. When lightning strikes her, bones are visible in her hair.

Wigfrid's appearance resembles the unrealized character Winnie. She is also her complete opposite in that Winnie was supposed to be a peace-loving vegetarian.

Interesting facts

- Wigfrid's voice is probably a gramophone recording of a brass band.

- Wigfrid, like a true warrior, doesn't like to wash. This can be seen in her line regarding a high level of wetness: "Does this count as a bath?"

- When transferred to another world in survival, the helmet and combat spear (if not spent) will be lost.

- When killing eye flowers, health and sanity are not restored. (Previously, the bonuses worked, but in one of the updates this ability was removed)

- In her lines (including the chat in Don't Starve Together), there are always umlauts above the letters "o", as a reference to the fact that she is from Scandinavia.
