Reanimated Skeleton
Caves
• Health: 4000
• Damage: 100
• Sanity Loss: -400/min
• Attack Speed: 4
• Attack Range: 2.4
• Movement Speed: 4.2
• Loot: x1 Shadow Atrium, x8 Fossils, x2-4 Dread Fuel.
Description
Animating a skeleton in the caves is a more reasonable idea, but the closer the skeleton is to the source of the shadows and fuel, the more destructive its behavior becomes. The skeleton will begin attacking anyone it sees along the way.
When performing a standard attack, the skeleton rips off its own head and strikes in front of itself. The attack deals damage to a single target. When its health is significantly reduced, it begins to summon bone fences that deal damage and immobilize all characters in a large radius. The bone fences disappear after a few seconds.
If the character has a shadow censer, the skeleton changes its anger to mercy, following the character and attacking their enemies. However, his locking attack still affects the character.
After the skeleton dies, in addition to the components spent on it, several units of horror fuel drop.
How to kill
• Killing a Skeleton in caves compared to killing a Skeleton in the atrium (more on that below) is very easy, and the most standard tactic is the Hit-and-Run method.
• The skeleton can be brought to the hares in the village (Depending on the size of the village and the number of hares in that village, it will be decided whether the skeleton hare will be killed or not. If the village is small and the number of hares in it is small, most likely they will not kill him. If the village is medium-large and the number of hares in it is acceptable, then most likely they will kill him. In any case, they will finish him off, and if they do not kill you, all that remains is to finish him off and collect the loot from the hares).
• Tame a large number of stone lobsters and overwhelm the Skeleton with quantity.
Surface
• Health: 4000
• Sanity Loss: -400/min
• Movement Speed: 2.4
• Loot: x1 Shadow Atrium, x8 Fossils, x2-4 Dread Fuel.
Description
The appearance of the skeleton depends on where players try to summon it. The magic of the Shadow Atrium is not strong enough to raise the skeleton from the dead under the rays of the sun in the overworld of Persistence. However, in the darkness of the night, the process is successful. The skeleton rises, but the surface is not the place to create an underground one.
Mossy and crumbling, the skeleton will peacefully wander the area, leaving a trail of Dread Fuel in its wake, on which underground plants grow: flowers of light, ferns, and suspicious plants. Such plants rot and disappear after a few seconds, but the plants themselves can be collected. It is a passive creature, does not react to attacks from players or other creatures. In its path, it destroys structures, like a cyclops-deer.
The characters can lead the mossy skeleton with the help of a shadow censer, but no other changes in the behavior of the bone friend appear.
At the first rays of the sun (or after death), the revived skeleton will disintegrate into the components spent on its creation, which will allow you to build a new strange skeleton and revive it.
How to kill
• Standard tactic:
Hit and run away.
• Take to the pigs' village.
• During mating season, take to the beefalo.
Atrium
• Health: 16000
• Damage: 100
• Sanity loss: -400/min
• Attack speed: 3
• Attack range: 2.4
• Movement speed: 4.2
• Loot: x1 Shadow Censer, x2-4 Dread Fuel, x8 Fossils, x1 Bone Armor, x1 Bone Helmet, x1 Rose.
Description
The skeleton can be resurrected in the atrium, in the ancient gate area. The Ancient Key must be inserted into the gate. The Skeleton has more coherent lines and several new attacks. First, in addition to the bone cage, it can create a spiral of bone knives that plunge into the ground after a few seconds. When the Skeleton loses a certain amount of health, it summons Weave Shadows and consumes them, restoring 400 health for each Shadow consumed.
During this phase, it also gains a shield that blocks all possible damage. To deactivate the shield, all Shadow Arms must be destroyed. They periodically appear on the battlefield and can only be attacked while insane. The Skeleton can prevent players from killing the Shadow Arms by instantly stunning them. While insane, the character will be unable to move, and the entire screen will be covered in Shadow Observers. This attack only works on characters with sanity below 15% (insanity).
It drops 8 Fossils, a Shadow Censer, Bone Armor, a Bone Helmet, 2-4 Dread Fuel, and 1 Rose. The Shadow Atrium does not drop back. After the skeleton dies, the gate will be unstable for about 3 minutes. The ground in the atrium area will shake periodically, and the character will say things like, "What was that?", "It's not safe here!", and "We need to get out of here."
When the timer runs out, the gate will explode, and the ruins will be restored. There's no need to return to the surface. Your buildings and loot in the dungeon will be preserved, but be prepared to kill Deep Worms, Monkeys, Gulpers, and other creatures again. The gate will be available again in 20 days, but until then, the Ancient Key will be unusable.
How to kill
• 1 Thulecite Crown + 1 Thulecite Armor or 5-6 sets of Night Armor or 3-4 sets of Night Armor + 3-4 sets of Football Helmets, Nightmare Amulet, Lazy Explorer, any heal and food - for each, something to raise sanity after the fight;
• 1-2 Windblowers, 1-2 Bee Crowns - per team.
• Wolfgang and Wigfried are recommended to take shadow swords, as their high damage is affected by their damage modifiers. Everyone else is recommended to use a thulecite mace.
• It would also be a good idea to equip one or two team members with a bee crown and wind blowers to destroy the woven shadows. Their sanity can be high enough to avoid being distracted by the shadows. Everyone else should kill the shadow hands - they only have 1-2 health, and they can easily be killed by a lazy explorer. These team members should have 0 sanity and are recommended to wear a thulecite crown. It is better if these team members are characters with reduced damage, such as Wendy, or characters with low maximum health, such as Maxwell.
