When we go to the bandits, we can, of course, give them the artifact, and they'll hand over Mityai as a prisoner. But then, when we're leaving the bandits' camp with him, they'll subtly ask us to give them a little more. Preferably in cash. You can give it to them, and they'll let you go in peace.
