Features of characters

Wilson

You shouldn't shave your beard in the fall, I think everyone already knows this, BUT did you know that a beard has time to grow in 16 days (maximum), and the first stage grows in 4, that is, immediately after the *stubble* appears, you can shave it off to get one tuft of beard, yes, this is a little you get only 1 tuft of beard out of nothing, but again BUT, tufts of beard are needed for a meat stuffed animal (4), for a teddy bear for Willow (2) and for some dish *winter banquet* (2), and this makes it clear that if we did not use this eSports feature, we would have only 9 beards, and this is 2 dolls or 4 bears, when if we still shaved at the beginning, I repeat, we do not lose anything in this, we would get 2 dolls + 1 bear or 5 bears, I hope it is clear I explained.

Willow

I'm probably going to tell someone a new story, but Willow puts out fire without causing harm, and even faster than others. Please take this into account. Yes, it's trivial, yes, I said I won't write trivial things, but many Willows don't know about this feature.

Willow lights a fire one and a half times better than others, just take this into account.

Willow restores her sanity from fire, which means she feels great both on the surface and in the depths of caves.

Willow can fry food on a lighter!

Only Willow and Varley can fry food on a lighter, therefore, at the start, you can fry food for characters who really need it, for example, Wigfrid.

Bernie

It's worth dropping 1 Bernie (if you have several) at the base, so that someone doesn't die from nightmares, because Bernie works even when Willow is not on the server.

Wolfgang

Don't overfeed him, Wolfgang speaks at a normal speed if his stomach is full by 100 units, no more, that is, for a normal routine. Wolfgang's medium form is suitable for lighter encounters (if his saturation is 101-224), while his maximum form is for boss fights.

Wolfgang's maximum form can be used for more than just combat; his movement speed increases (max 125%), meaning he can also serve as a good scout, unless, of course, he has no replacement on the server.

The animation when switching from one form to another takes time, during which you are vulnerable, meaning that in combat you need to closely monitor not only your health but also your saturation.

Wolfgang is only afraid of monsters; his fear does not increase the sanity loss from evil flowers, the crown of the spider queen, etc.

Wendy

Deals less damage with her hand, meaning she doesn't one-shot birds with her boomerang.

-With Abigail's help, you can survive the night without a torch. Just run away from her and quickly towards her, and she will shine for a while. This way, you'll spend a lot of sanity, but you'll save your life without a torch (flashlight*miner's helmet*).

-Wigfrid can heal himself by hitting Abigail (this does not mean that everyone who plays Wigfrid should go hit Abigail with the nearest Wendy, because Abigail does not regenerate as quickly as Chester, so it is better to hit him)

-Abigail is great for farming crowds of enemies, but she does not have much health, so I advise you to aggro everyone on Abigail and bring 1 to yourself, if really bad, hit several at once and run

-Abigail is great at catching butterflies (excellent heal in the early stages)

WX-78

-If someone is revived from the altar, and the robot is standing nearby, then lightning will strike him

-you should not eat gears as soon as you get them, because they heal well, the bonus to characteristics is good, of course, but the bonus + heal + satiety + sanity is much better, I advise you to use it as non-perishable food or healing (first ask the party permission whether it is worth eating gears, or leave them for something more useful) in addition, with the help of gears you can craft sacrificial hearts without losing HP, 2 hearts = -80 HP

1 gear = +60

- being charged with lightning WX does not freeze, which allows him to immediately go explore at least in winter, at least in autumn, at least in spring

- regarding the Wickerbottom + WX combination, I will not talk about it, everyone already knows

Wickerbottom

- Maxwell can read all her books, which means that if Maxwell in the party is *sensible*, then Wicker is not worth reading books at all, it is enough to just ask Max about it, but if everything is really bad with him, then sanity is replenished quite simply - Green mushrooms, killing nightmares, crafting something new.

-Wickerbottom can both sit at the base and rush around the world, if she has a book for growing - this does not mean that she is an agriculturalist, she is a very flexible and interesting character -

some already spoiled food can be saved by putting it in a cauldron, frying

Books:

1) Birds of the World

- farm feathers, Krampus (bag) with the help of bedtime stories

- give the book Wurt (Wart) +50 sanity (not you, her)

2) Practical gardening

- grows trees even in winter

- grows even (dried trees)

- give the book Wurt (Wart) -33 sanity (not you, her)

3) The End is Near

- the most for WX

- at night, in extreme cases, you can use it,  it will save everyone on the server from Charlie  during lightning strikes -

give the book Wurt (Wart) -33 sanity (not you, her)

4) Bedtime Stories

- is used longer than the pano flute, but Easier to craft

- only puts to sleep those who can be put to sleep, for example, the same nightmares will not sleep

- give the book Vurt (Vart) +33 sanity (not you, her)

5) About tentacles

- with the help of this book many traps are made

- a good way to multiply tentacles, farm weapons

-Give the book Vurt (Vart) +50 sanity (not you, her)

Woody

-The ent doesn't appear for the first 3 days

-Lucy teleports to Woody if he lost it and started chopping with a different axe

-Woody should store most of the wood in planks, as they take up less space, but this doesn't mean all the logs need to be turned into planks immediately

-Woody should learn how to craft rafts and place them in places that are a long walk away, but are not far away, to make bridges of sorts

-Woody should plant at least 2 different forests, but more is possible, since

the first forest will be used for farming logs, should consist of spruce trees, located near the base or at a medium distance.

The second forest should consist of chestnut trees. Farm chestnuts (chestnut ents are very dangerous, so you should farm in beaver form (in beaver form, if Woody chops down trees, the Ents do not come at all)

The third forest  (optional) can be planted on bosses, separately, the idea is simple, the boss comes, you lead him to this forest, he wakes up the Ents with his blows, they deal with him, you have a killed, or almost killed, boss, a pile of logs, living logs. You can also not build a separate forest, but use the first forest for these needs, but you will have to somehow *secure* the base, or put a forest that can be quickly reached via a raft, or at a medium distance, but this will complicate the usual farming of logs

- Woody can only eat 2 fried monster meats for a random transformation

And now the forms of Woody

Goose - an excellent scout, can be used to search for the lunar island, just ideally searches for it, given that the island has *inverted sanity* (the more so much the worse)

- You can lead the hounds to nowhere as a goose, that is, if you hear the barking of the hounds, and you have nothing ready for them, you can become a goose and get away as far as possible from land into the sea, wait out the attack and return, the hounds will not come at all, that is, nowhere at all

- being a goose, you can also lead bosses, heard the roar of a cyclops, this means that he will appear where YOU are, so grab the monster meat and march to the arena, into the forest, or somewhere else, you can try the feature like with the hounds, but then you will lose precious loot, because the boss simply will not appear (you can take him to the lunar island, there you can, for example, throw a bear, he will not go far there

Beaver - (so far I have only tested with a beaver, so I will write it here) If Woody jumps off the raft in beaver form, he will not lose the maximum amount of HP, How do other characters (not Wurth) lose it?

- It's not worth farming trees with a beaver, you can also level the area by pulling out stumps, go farm stone

(personal experience with a beaver). Personally, in beaver form, I prioritize digging up bushes with sticks and grass, because you can cut down a tree with an axe, but it's a shame to waste a shovel.

Moose - Moose can easily kill nimble creatures (rabbits, mandrakes, and if you're lucky, birds)

- Moose is most often better at dodging (ramming enemies), the same spiders do not do any damage if you ram them in time, even warrior spiders, when they jump during your *dash*, miss you - Being

a moose, it is great to farm birds together with Wickerbottom, and the same Krampus

- Moose can destroy buildings with a ram, do not forget about this in the same caves, when you killed all the monkeys, for example, and decided to demolish their huts

Wes

Well, Wes is imba, you don't even need counters for him, although ... His balls can be used as bait, build a path to nowhere or into a trap for Varg, you can also simply kill a player without PvP on the server, for example, yourself

Maxwell

- need to urgently lower your sanity? Use wormholes, the most effective way

- also, it's an excellent heal, if nothing else, you can use glommer slime or raw blue mushrooms

- don't make 2 shadows with pickaxes, it's useless, you won't be able to keep up with them, it will slow you down

- also, don't make all the shadows at once the first time, I highly recommend making shadows as needed, you need stones, use your pickaxe and your hands, 9% left on the pickaxe, and you don't have a bunch of stones? Okay, make a shadow

- Shadow warriors are absolutely useless, no, of course you can waste your precious horror fuel and spear on a warrior who will die in the first battle, because he has 75 hp and autism. It will be much more useful to save fuel, because the hounds see your clones and are ready to devour them at the first opportunity

- if you hear the hounds and are not sure that you can protect your shadows, kill them, because at least 1 horror fuel drops, also if an ent starts attacking your clone, kill him first, the ent won't leave him alone, or you can try to just kill the ent, but I still advise leaving it for some boss or the next attack of the hounds (personal experience)

- I usually go into the world and assess the situation, that is, I look at who is there and who is doing what, if there is Woody or some other woodcutter, I make a pickaxe and go to mine stone with gold, finish off the pickaxe, if it's day 8-13, I wait for the hounds to attack first (hounds sometimes don't attack players who have recently entered the server), I wait, make sure that my clones are not in danger and only then I put 1 miner for myself.

But if there is no woodcutter, I make a woodcutter and go for a walk through the forest, along the way with a shovel, if possible, bushes I dig, give the shovel to the shadows on the low and return along the same route collecting logs from the stumps

- Maxwell is perfect for caves, but without armor it is not worth going there at all

- after your direct duties (namely FARMFARMFARM) you can go into the caves in search of hares, light bulbs or something else interesting

- for Maxwell, resurrect other players only in extreme necessity, that is, if there is some Webber on the server, it is better to let him do it, if he does not have a gland - give it, there is no HP, spend yours and give him a heart so that he resurrects, because Maxwell does not need sanity for resurrecting other players, at all, BUT, again, situations are different

- If anything, you can help Wicker with reading books, perhaps you can farm fuel

- there is a very good way to farm fuel , it is suitable for everyone, but I will write to Maxwell, we take all sorts of tricks to lower sanity, and more, weapons, a raft and an oar, we sail far from the land in the sea and lower sanity to zero, wait for the shadows, dodge the first blow and then just hit, due to the fact that shadows cannot teleport to the water, they will teleport somewhere within the raft, the shadow simply will not have time to gather after the teleport, like will catch another hit and another, in short, we just stand and hit and that's it, there is a problem that several shadows will come, well, here I don’t know what to do - trouble (IT DOESN’T WORK ANYMORE UNFORTUNATELY).

Wigfrid

- it’s worth going to look for an elephant right from the start, collect the initial resources and go beat the elephant, he will provide us with food for the beginning and a heal (in extreme cases) -

Wigfrid’s helmets are imba, don’t forget to give them to your teammates? ... To ... Allies? in short, just give it to anyone who is not lazy, and pigs and anyone else

- Meat is stored longer in fried form, but after frying the meat, it becomes a little fresher, to be honest, I don’t know how it works, I just fry it right away and that’s it.

Webber

The beard can be trimmed at the 3rd stage, without any losses at all, it will have time to grow by winter

- it is advisable to put the cocoon in a place where it will farm itself, or farm someone else, without interfering with other players, for example, you can plant it near pigs and farm webs and glands from spiders, but the drop will be scattered anywhere, but just not near the cocoon, or you can put it near frogs, while if you have time, you can also take frog legs

- if Woody is in the party, then it is worth sharing your monster meat with him, but not fried, raw,

- Webber, being a spider, does not aggroes the spider queen, but can aggro other spiders on her, namely, you can bring her to another cocoon, hire 1 spider and a mess will begin, where a bunch of different drops will fall out, if you did not hit the queen, but only swung, then you can calmly stand in the thick of things and not receive any damage, while collecting all the drops, the same can be done with ordinary spiders, without the participation of the queen

- Chester can be used as bait, because when you walk along the web, the spiders do not crawl out to you, and Chester is the best, you just do not overdo it

- You can call another player to run along the web and immediately disappear, while the spiders will crawl out and you can easily tame them either in the morning or in the evening and at once in a bunch, (if the cocoon was higher than the 1st level)

- There is a way to farm the web, just put the cocoon on the raft, wait until it reaches the 3rd level and break it, this will drop the cocoon itself, but the first one. and a bunch of cobwebs.

Winona

- You shouldn't make things unless absolutely necessary, seriously, you shouldn't craft walls, ask someone else to do it, because Winona is starving, you also shouldn't craft scientific machines, fire pits and other things that other players can make, you are of course a builder, but your potential should not be wasted on some fire, your strength is in mechanisms

- Catapults hit the area, please take this into account when you try to use them against a fly, closing yourself off from its larvae with walls, because the walls will most likely break

- catapults are very situational, you shouldn't build them in the first days and waste stone on them.

- The faithful ribbon can be used as a sewing kit, it is worth sharing it with the team.

Warli

- Before playing for this character, you should memorize at least the recipe for 4-5 dishes, 2 of which will be for the team's heal and 3 you will get by with, in addition to meatballs

- due to the peculiarities of Warli's diet, he is a very complex character, but very useful,

I have nothing more to say about him, I did not play for him (we are waiting for your suggestions.

Wartox

- At first, you can only feed on souls, because learning new recipes completely overshadows the cost of sanity for eating souls

- food has 2 times less impact on our imp, both positive and negative, you should not feed him with something rare, you can, in between souls, feed on ordinary meatballs, also, to increase sanity, you can use green mushrooms, fried cacti

- Tent and Canopy are your friends # 1

- Sleeping bag is your friend # 2

- Your souls make Wormwood's best friend, and its spiked armor makes it a good friend for you (you can collect cacti without taking damage).

- Souls allow you to quickly move around the world, which makes you, in addition to a good healer, also a good scout.

- For bosses, it's worth stocking up on living creatures in your pockets or backpack for later killing them and collecting souls during the fight.

- If you get the hang of it, you can avoid damage by teleporting in time right under boss's attack.

Wormwood

- Don't engage in reckless battles; restoring health on Wormwood isn't that easy, because food doesn't affect your HP. Another thing follows: you can eat red mushrooms raw and not worry.

- Wormwood's main task is growing food, which means you should dedicate yourself to this activity

- You shouldn't spend manure directly on self-healing, because it restores negligible amounts, it would be much better to spend manure on Compost Wrap and enjoy life

- It is worth building a pen with 1-2 elephants for passive-constant production of manure

- When growing Pitaya (Dragon Fruit), it is worth giving the first fruits to a bird in a cage for its reproduction, and then use them for the needs of your party

- Wormwood also loses sanity when harming nature, but there is a small bug, probably in the head of Wormwood himself, because he thinks that Digging up bushes does much less harm than the benefit of planting it, so when digging up he loses only 5 sanity, and when planting back the same bush 10 sanity, a small farm of sanity, in exchange for your time .. and a shovel

- One of the most perishable easily obtained products - Light bulbs

- With the help of 4 pieces of monster meat, you can turn a pig into a werepig, in this form he absorbs an infinite amount of food, and after each eaten item *releases* his manure, so you can quickly farm a lot of manure.

Wart (Wurt)

- To begin with, it is worth visiting the swamps to get reeds

- Merms are tamed for 1 seed and get wood and stone - this is very strong, they can be set against the tentacles when they do their job

- it is better to steal soil from the swamps than to make it yourself, because rot, at the beginning of the game, is needed in other areas than in the crafting of 1 piece of swamp turf -

an excellent way to raise sanity is to carry fish with you, taking into account its easy prey (arranging the *accidental* death of one of your merm warriors) this the best way for our frog.

Boy with a dog

Honestly, I can't say much about him because I haven't played that often lately BUT ..

I can say that this hero is just made for exploring caves, that is, he doesn't lose his mind from the darkness, doesn't aggro on himself when he hits with a slingshot if the enemy already has another target, that is, you can lure some hares to your side and go clear the ruins, also in the caves stones literally fall from the sky, and these are free shells for the slingshot

- Telling stories around the fire, he restores not only the sanity of others, but also himself, even being alone at the fire you can tell a story to yourself, you never know what new you'll learn from it from your own story

- also if you write something, activate some event (the arrival of hounds, for example), and so on that makes the hero comment on this, he will stop reading the story

AND NOW ABOUT THE DOG

- he can ride even in caves, which means you become good cave explorer

- also the dog is considered a pet, that is, you can feed it all sorts of tasteless crap, including glowing berries, if it eats them, it will glow

- you can put meat in it when you are near hares

- the dog is afraid when it takes damage, and when we inflict it from it, it is normal, that is, you can stock up on shells for a slingshot and just run away from the boss, shoot him somewhere there and that's it, he will not be able to keep up with the speed of the dog and everything will be fine

- sitting on the dog, we do not slow down from carrying heavy objects such as statues ... and that's it, so we can use the dog as a truck of some kind and drag the heads of mechanisms to their pedestals

ITEMS SLINGSHOT, as for me, a weak weapon, BUT not useless, a couple of uses for it can still be found

- kill weak animals, such as rabbits, birds and other creatures that run away from the hero and the main problem in killing which is their speed

- also with A slingshot can be used to lure koala elephants into traps or pens; this also works with Beefalo.

A PORTABLE TENT  is a good item, I'd even say wonderful.

Together with Varley, you can set up a portable base for 20 days, just right for the summer by going into caves and constantly moving around it, without the need to be tied to a specific place. Also

, all characters can use the tent, which means it can be given to the same Vortex. With his teleportation, infinite sanity, and no need for food, he can easily explore caves, the surface, islands, the world, the planet there, and more, he can do everything.
