Don't Starve Walkthrough → Biomes (Rocky Lands)
Rocky Lands is a biome. You'll immediately recognize it by the many rocks scattered throughout the area and the rocky ground beneath your feet. There are almost no plants in this biome. Trees don't grow, nor do grass or branches.
Spider Rock Biome
Flint and gold nuggets lie directly on the ground. Spider nests are numerous. The biome is usually surrounded by a forest of gnarled trees.
The cemetery biome
Is adjacent to the mosaic biome located next to the cemetery. Long-legged bird nests can be found here.
Caves
Caves contain more unique rocky biome types with different enemies. All rocky biome types can contain cracks, which pose a significant danger due to the appearance of Nightmares.
- Objects: Stalagmite, Karst sinkhole
- Animals: Rock lobsters
- Monsters: Mouseleak, Cave Spider, Spitter, Creeping Terror, Horrorbeak
- Turf: Guano turf, cave-stone turf
The Spider Biome
Consists primarily of cave-rock turf. Spilagmites and stalagmites are abundant. Cracks are most common in this biome. Don't try to find sinkholes here.
The Rock Lobster Biome
Is the most peaceful biome. Lobsters are quite peaceful if left undisturbed. Unlike other rocky biomes, this one doesn't contain stalagmites, just sharp rocks. The ratio of guano to cave turf is roughly equal.
The main activity here is recruiting lobsters. This is accomplished with simple rocks, which compensates for their slowness. They can also be transported to ruins, although they will only be of help there with deep worms. It's best not to bring them to the surface.
The Mouseleaf Biome
Consists primarily of turf guano. There are a huge number of mice, and guano is scattered all over the floor. It doesn't pose much of a threat, although the mice are quite annoying.
