Winona - Having worked in a mine and factory in the past, it's safe to assume she's a leader in base building, hunting, and landscaping. She's essentially a support character for your team, starting with three ribbons and capable of speeding up crafting and base construction. Winona used to work in a factory, may have been Russian, and may even be Charlie's older sister.

Nickname: The Handywoman.

Motto: "Anything can be fixed with a little hard work and elbow grease."

Parameters

Health: 150

Satiety: 150

Sanity: 200

Abilities

- Experienced builder.

- First strike in the dark, does no harm.

- Brings her own tools.

Items

- Invisible tools

- Electrical tape x3

Special abilities:

Winona's main ability is crafting and constructing structures in 0.5 seconds. This is useful for building camps (Science Machine, Cauldron, Fireplace) and creating fires a little faster when night falls, as being in darkness for more than 1 second makes it impossible to place a fire on the surface.

She can also avoid Charlie's first attack (darkness), giving her a full 7 seconds to find/create a light source before the next attack. Interesting fact: The developers of Klei have buffed Charlie's attack power for a more noticeable effect and increased challenge. Seriously, it now deals 100 damage at a time.

Electrical tape (Trusty Mending Tape):

sewing_tape Duct Tape (Trusty Mending Tape)

Repairs the character's clothing (does not restore weapons and armor)

Spider Web x1

Cut Grass x3

It's easy to craft and starts with a few tapes. But what good is it? The answer is clothing repair! Duct Tape works like a Sewing Kit, but requires fewer ingredients to craft, with the same item repair rate. In numbers:

  • Sewing Kit:  Log x1, Spider Web x8, Hound's Fang x2.
  • Duct Tape:  Spider Web x1, Cut Grass x3.

So, for each crafting, you save at least 1 Log, 5 Spider Webs, and 2 Fangs. And you know how difficult it is to get Hound's Fangs early in the game. So, the conclusion is: Duct Tape > Sewing Kit. The only noticeable problem this character has is the inability to repair armor and weapons. He'll have to limit himself to clothing repair and that's it...

Who to play with in doubles?

With Webber, you'll always have enough webbing for Duct Tape, and thanks to the ability to craft a Cauldron faster, Monster Meat can help with food. Also, remember that tape can't heal your wounds, but spider glands are perfectly capable of doing the job. Anyone can play with Wickerbottom , really. But the advantage of the duo is her ability to instantly grow grass for Duct Tape and food for your fast Cauldrons.

With you. Basically, a combination of two Winona characters is perfectly acceptable. Both are good at combat, crafting, exploring, and they're unmatched at keeping each other's clothes safe and sound. This pairing also has no personal penalties, making it a winning strategy.

With Wigfrid. I won't lie, I don't particularly like her, but that's no reason not to write about this character. Once you get an alchemy lab and a good source of meat, Wigfrid's crafting and destruction skills will always have your back. But once you have the Football Helmet and Meat Bat in your loadout, the roles of the pair switch.

Overall, Winona is the best support character, in my opinion. Good luck in the game, and don't starve!
