Webber | Don't Starve

Webber

Webber is a child living in the body of a spider. "Web" translates as "web," so "Webber" literally means "web-man." Untamed spiders still attack Chester.

If the character has any living creature in their inventory while walking on the web, the spiders will emerge from their cocoons, allowing them to be trapped during the day. At dusk, Webber says it's time for bed.

If you ask Webber about the Maxwell statue, he will say, "That's the guy who promised to help us." This implies that Maxwell tricked Webber (as he did with Wilson), most likely by suggesting that they separate the child and the spider.

He is the most intriguing character after Maxwell, as nothing is known about his history. During his nightmare, his spider mouth glows bright red.

Webber may have Scottish ancestry, for when examining Tam o' Shanter he says, "Reminds me of my grandfather." His favorite color is red, for he says of the red bird, "Red is my favorite color."

Interesting facts

- Webber's voice is a detuned bass guitar.

- Judging by his lines, Webber is a child living in the body of a spider. This conclusion can be made based on the following facts:

- Most often refers to himself in the plural.

- Lines regarding many animals come down to a desire to play with them.

- When struck by lightning, the shape of his skull inside the spider more closely resembles a human one.

- When examining his skeleton, Webber says: "Um, where's the part that was a spider?"

- However, when completing the adventure mode for Webber, in the end credits he is referred to as "it", which in English is a pronoun used to refer not only to things, but also to animals or, for example, monsters.

- Webber's dad was most likely a scientist, since when examining the Alchemy Machine, Webber says: "Dad was working on something like this." His father also wore a top hat.

There's a theory that Wilson is Webber's father, as when examining the Alchemy Machine, Webber says, "Dad was working on something like this." However, Wilson suffers from arachnophobia, so this theory can easily be dismissed.
