Sukharevskaya

Metro 2033: Walkthrough  → Sukharevskaya

We were returning to the metro. And I felt more comfortable here, calmer than in the city where I was born. Where was my true home? Even Sukharevskaya—especially since Bourbon had friends there.

Having reached the grate, Bourbon would jump down and be immediately captured. We would hide and not be noticed. We would pick up Bourbon's weapon and quietly, silently, descend the ventilation shaft.

We need to rescue a comrade from captivity. There are two ways to do this. One is to carefully sneak past the guards, killing some of them with a silent weapon. Incidentally, if we choose this method, we'll notice that some guards will fall dead without our intervention; we'll understand why later.

The second option is to engage in a firefight and kill everyone in this station; this is for the impatient. Personally, I chose the second option. Incidentally, if you want to sneak in unnoticed, you'll need to turn off the switch near the guard who will be the first to die without our help.

This switch will cut the power, and we'll be able to cross the puddle that will be in our path right next to the room where Bourbon is being held.

When we reach the door to this very room, we'll burst in, locking the bolt behind us. Beyond the door, we'll see the bandit leader and Bourbon shoot each other, both dying. Too bad, he was a good guy.

But we won't be alone for long; a gray-haired man named Khan will jump out of the vent. He was the one who helped us out of the darkness. He'll head to Turgenevskaya station, and we'll go with him, especially since the guys outside the door are about to burst in. Ghosts await us.
