One, two, three: Krampus come to us!

Things you didn't know about Krampus but were afraid to ask:

  • One of the easiest ways to kill Krampus is to lead him to the Pigs' village. The Pigs will automatically attack.
  • It is possible to kill Krampus in normal combat, using weapons with ranged damage (Explosive Darts, Boomerang) to damage the monster from a distance (just like with the Koaloslephant).
  • Krampus is put to sleep by the Pan Flute and sleep darts, making it easier to kill with a spear or spiked club.
  • If you monitor your aggression level, you can anticipate the mob's appearance and set traps in advance. For example, fill a chest with a few unnecessary items and Bee Mines. Krampus should loot the chest, activate the mines, and die from the bees. If the traps aren't set, you can attack him while the monster is using the chest.
  • The most popular way to summon Krampus is to kill a lot of rabbits. This allows you to track your character's aggression level and predict the monster's arrival.
  • A chest full of killer bees also works well. Kramp will search the chest and destroy it, releasing bees that you'll have to fight.
  • You can retrieve the stolen items if you take him to the frog pond: thanks to their tongues, the toads will be able to take back the gear, but not all of it. And he won't die in the process.
  • By leading Krampus to the nests of the tall birds, they will begin to attack him, defending their territory. Then, after the death or departure of the main hero of the occasion, the birds themselves can be carried out.
  • If you're hunting for the bag, a fire staff will come in handy! Fire is effective against monsters and doesn't harm the bag containing your loot. All other loot will turn to ash after the mob dies, but if the bag is more valuable, then another option...
  • What else do you know about Krampus? Share in the comments, good luck!

Level of aggression

Once a player reaches a certain aggression threshold (a random number between 31 and 50), Krampus will burst into your life. One or two Krampus monsters may appear simultaneously after day 50, and two or three after day 90. After Krampus appears, the aggression level resets to 0. Every 1/8th of a game day increases the level by 1, meaning a player's aggression can increase by 8 in a day, even without killing or attacking anything.

It's also worth mentioning that setting a creature on fire will not affect this level. The same applies to fang traps, Bee Mines, and Gunpowder—they count as collateral damage. Below is a table of animals and the aggression points awarded for killing them:

Animal Aggression points

  • Glommer 50
  • Beefalo Baby, Small Bird 6
  • Raccoon cat 5
  • Beefalo 4
  • Pig 3
  • Redbird, Snowbird, Pingull, Tallbird, Mediumbird 2
  • Raven, Hare, Bee, Butterfly, Moleworm, Rabbitbeard 1

Krampus

Krampus  is a Christmas (New Year) devil.

  • Appears when the player's prank points  reach a certain number (31 as a minimum and 50 as a maximum).
  • HP - 300
  • Attacks at close range (Damage = 50)
  • Krampus's peculiarity  is that he steals things, breaks chests (if the player is near a chest,  Krampus will taunt him), but if there are things on the ground next to the chest, he will first take them (they drop after he is killed)
  • Doesn't steal: Bone-Eye, Starsky, a bunch of marbles, Lucy, Abigail's flower, BUT can steal the backpack containing these items.
  • It drops: charcoal x2, monster meat (1% chance), Krampus's bag (has 14 slots), and all stolen items.
  • If Krampus escapes, all the things he managed to steal will disappear along with him.

Getting a lazy bag

  • The sack spawn command for the laziest is c_give("krampus_sack"), the sack will appear at the cursor location.
  • You can also change the chance of a bag dropping. To do this, follow this path: C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Don't Starve Together\data\databundles\scripts\scripts\prefabs
  • Next, look for the file "krampus", open it and change the parameter (underlined) "{'krampus_sack',  .01 }" as you need, where 1.00 = 100%, 0.50 = 50%, 0.25 = 25% and so on.

Prank glasses

  • At the start of the game, the player has 0 Mischief Points. Mischief Points are earned by killing innocent creatures. The maximum value for summoning  Krampus  begins after reaching a minimum of 31 points or a maximum of 50. Mischief Points are lost at a rate of 1 per minute.
  • The longer the player has lived in the world, the more  Krampuses  will appear:
  • Less than 50 days - 1  Krampus
  • From 50 to 100 days - 2, rarely 3  Krampuses
  • More than 100 days - from 2 to 4  Krampuses

When you re-enter the game, your prank points are reset.
