The New Vegas Strip is our next stop. Legislative power in the city belongs to the mysterious Mr. House, while executive power belongs to a triumvirate of clans: the Omerta, the Chairmen (led by Benny), and the White Glove. At first glance, these are respectable societies, but each has aces up its sleeve and spiders in its closet. First, we need to infiltrate this Vegas. The Strip gates are guarded by Securitrons, which allow only the rich (shake a bag of 2,000 bottle caps in front of a robot – the way is clear), the cunning (buy a passport at Mick and Ralph's), the learned (Science 80), and the strong (kill the robots and take the keys).
NOTE: If you have high reputation with the NCR or Craig Boone is on your team, you can take the monorail from Camp McCarran to the Las Vegas Boulevard station on the Strip.
Goodbye, Love (Joana or Carlitos)
A seductive woman will greet you in the courtyard of the Gomorrah Casino. Charm her three times (Speech 25, 50, and 75) and proceed to the room with a cozy bed. If you notice that she has health problems (Medicine 50), she will tell you the story of her love. Her mate is hiding in Vault 21. Let's help the lovers reunite. Shuttle between Gomorrah and the Vault until Carlitos tells you about the escape plan.
Go to Freeside, enlist the help of two friends, and return to Joana. At midnight (not earlier), tell her that you are ready to escape, then accompany her and her friends to the Strip gates. After the meeting of the two lovers, Omerta thugs will arrive; persuade them with a kind word (Speech 75 and 85) or intimidate them (Strength 8 and 9). Reward: experience and increased karma (if you didn’t take the money).
How Little We Know (Joanna)
Before leaving with her lover, Joana will tell you that Cachino is plotting against Mr. House. We head to Gomorrah. If you have the "Scary Person" trait, be rude to the guard and find Cachino. Talking to him won't get you anywhere, so steal the diary right out of his pockets (karma won't decrease). You can return this incriminating evidence to him or sell it to the Omerta bosses. The latter option isn't an option, as we lose reputation on the Strip at the end of the mission.
Return the diary to its owner and receive the task of dissuading Troike and Clanden from collaborating with Big Sal and Nero. Clanden won't budge; steal his key and open the safe in the room behind the closet where the notes are. Give him the evidence in exchange for the caps and a promise to leave the Strip. Ask Troike to tell the story of the girl's murder (Medicine 30). Then steal evidence from Big Sal's office proving the whole thing was a set-up. Afterwards, ask Troika (70 Speech) to destroy the gun. Exit the casino, then return to Cachino.
The death knell has come for two Omerta bosses. Ask what mischief the family is planning (80 Speech) and signal Cachino. Big Sal will fall immediately. Finish off Nero with your fists or a pistol. The quest is complete, and we gain good fame on the Strip. Cachino can give us 50 chips to play at the casino.
NOTE: You don't have to complete the Troika-related missions. To convince Cachino to confront the bosses, just tell him that Clanden has left town.
When the Moon Rises Over the Tower (Emily Ortal)
When you first leave the Lucky 38 casino (whether you spoke to House or not), a representative of the Followers of the Apocalypse will intercept you and ask you to plant a bug in the Lucky 38's access point. Plant the bug and return. Reward: good reputation with the Followers.
Vengeance (Walter Phoebus)
A couple of elderly farmers are strolling near the Las Vegas Boulevard station. Talk to Walter (you can show hostility: 7 acceptance). He wants revenge on Heck Gunderson, his competitor. To resolve the conflict peacefully, talk to Ethel Phoebus. Then convince Walter (75 speech) that revenge will achieve nothing good. The quest is complete.
IMPORTANT: Accept this quest before completing the quest "Food for Gourmets." Otherwise, you simply won't find the farmers.
Gourmet Food (Heck Gunderson)
A quest in the best Hitman traditions, with investigations and freedom of decision-making. In "Ultra-Luxe," you'll meet a sad cattle rancher. His son has disappeared. Our goal is to find him and bring him to his father. There are many ways to complete the quest; below is the one that will provide the most benefit for ourselves and the community.
Go to the Gourmet restaurant and talk to Marjorie about Ted's disappearance (don't lie to her about eating people, too—you'll lose your reputation). Now head to Mortimer, deceive him (Speech 62), pretend to fulfill his request, and receive the keys to the follower's room. The detective is already dead; search him and take the matches. A couple of White Glove members will attack us—kill them discreetly.
Approach the steam room at four o'clock in the afternoon. Chauncey will tell you about Mortimer's plan. But at the end of the conversation, an assassin will finish him off. Deal with the killer and go to Marjorie - she will grant access to the 8th closed section of the club. Go to the kitchen, persuade the guard (Speech 55), and force the cook to leave (Medicine 55). Prepare the dish (Survival 75 or Intelligence 6 + Philip's recipe) and mix the chemicals into the wine (you need Med-X). At exactly seven o'clock, call the waiter on the intercom.
All that remains is to free Ted from the refrigerator and take him to the White Glove gala dinner. To avoid being seen by the guards, crouch and sneak behind Mortimer. As soon as he finishes speaking, quickly run up to him (Ted will run after you) and tell him that the club members ate regular meat, not human flesh.
Return the same way and take Ted to his father. Lie to the old man. If you don't know anything about the kidnappers, or if you demonstrate eloquence (35), you'll gain White Glove fame (which extends to the entire Strip) and 500 caps.
NOTE: Don't forget to remove Chauncey's formal attire. This is the outfit Veronica, one of your potential companions, wants. In exchange, she'll teach you the "Scribe's Trick."
Editor's note: It's better to kill everyone in White Glove society! They won't give you anything, but it's worth it!
Talents, respond! (Tommy Torini)
The Ace Theater is located in the Tope Casino. You can offer to help the local manager cast actors. In conversation, mention the bartering option (50) and you'll receive 5% of the profit from each actor as a reward, instead of the initial 3%. For each actor, you'll receive caps and Strip fame. At the end, Steam awards you the achievement of the same name.
Willie Knight. Standing near the Strip gates. Agrees for nothing. But you can talk some sense into him (barter 25). So he knows the value of his work.
Hadrian. Languishing in the Atomic Cowboy. Convince Garrett to break his contract. In the conversation with James, show off your barter (50), eloquence (50), or the "scary person" trait. Make the ghoul happy and return to Torini.
Bruce Isaac. Hiding in Novak. Don't lie or threaten, listen to his story and give him the business card, he'll agree right away.
Lonesome Drifter. He's sitting by the campfire near the El Dorado Dry Lake location. Listen to his life story, then ask for payment for your efforts (barter 50) - you'll receive the unique revolver "Mysterious Magnum."
NOTE: There's an unmarked quest in Vault 21. Sarah needs Vault leather suits—she'll reward you with bottle caps and Strip fame for finding them. If you're good at bartering (65), you can bring her bomber suits.
Source of Inspiration (Michael Angelo)
An artist is working in the workshop (near Vault 21 and the NCR Embassy). Note (Medicine 55) that he's afraid to leave his home. Michael will ask you to photograph five interesting places in the Mojave - all of them are marked on the map. The entire structure doesn't need to be in the frame. Distance doesn't matter either. Reward: caps and the Strip's good name.
War... war never changes... and never ends. The developers continue to release add-ons, and players eagerly await Russian voiceovers. This means our travels aren't over yet - there will still be plenty of reasons to try new adventures and relive the past.
