Sniper Rifles

Stalker: Call of Pripyat  → Sniper Rifles

The Vintar-VS rifle is designed for silent and flameless sniper fire during special operations when concealing the shooter's position is essential. Its ammunition provides superior armor-piercing and stopping power; furthermore, this weapon is equipped with an integrated suppressor and optics. Despite its small magazine capacity, it is highly prized by stalkers.

The SVDm-2 sniper rifle has been on the market for a good half-century, and during this time it has established itself as an exceptionally reliable and easy-to-use weapon. While it is primarily used by troops to engage distant targets that are out of reach of an assault rifle, stalkers have come to appreciate the SVDm-2 largely because its bullet can penetrate even the thickest mutant hide or a good bulletproof vest.

The SVUMK-2 is a more modern version of the SVDm-2 sniper rifle, using a bullpup design for a smaller footprint. Compared to its parent rifle, it boasts a higher rate of fire while weighing less, while maintaining approximately the same accuracy at short and medium ranges. Today, it enjoys well-deserved popularity among both military personnel and stalkers.

The Gauss Cannon, a highly accurate high-tech weapon known as "Product No. 62," was developed by designers at secret laboratories within the Zone. Its operating principle is based on the acceleration of a bullet by a system of electromagnets; the bullet is capable of reaching super-speeds, providing colossal penetrating power with virtually no recoil. To ensure sufficient energy storage capacity, the batteries contain particles from certain artifacts.

Weapon parameters range from 0 (minimum) to 42 (maximum). Weight - kilograms.
