Fallout Tactics: BoS → Buena Vista

Quite far to the west is a nuclear reactor that supplies power to the factories that produce the Calculator's iron army. Your objective is to blow up the reactor, disable its production facilities, and eliminate as many robots as possible. You'll be dropped off in the northeast of the map, the bulk of which is occupied by a large building housing everything you need to blow up.

This building is surrounded by a fence with several passages sealed by a force field. Therefore, we move counterclockwise along the fence, clearing out the outer guards, consisting of humanoid robots.

Try to take them out from maximum range, as these iron things are good shots. Some idiot entrusted with command of five warriors will rush in with them for a frontal assault. You'll find their torn bodies later. In the trench to the southwest, look for the control panel that disables the force field. You'll immediately have several entry options, and if your team goes through the gate closest to the control panel, a beast will be unleashed from behind the protective field that will be quite a slaughter.

This monster is called the Behemoth and has at least 1000 HP. But you still won't be able to avoid a fight with this mastodon, as the exit from the location is right next to the parking lot of this walking tank. A brood of spiders is also hiding around it, and the carnage will be serious.

While the Behemoth's "garage" is protected by a force field, carefully position your men near the fence; it might even be better to enable turn-based mode. The beast is unleashed when someone on your team gets close enough to its parking spot or the passageway beyond.

Near the platform where the Behemoth is located, there are rocks behind which your soldier can hide. I placed Mommy there, who threw grenades at the beast. After the fight with the Behemoth, head to the main gate, the remote for which can be hacked by someone with a decent science proficiency. The opening of the basement will reveal the location of the squad's death. If you don't want to die, first shoot the turret from long range (laser rifles are good for this), after which you'll face a more serious fight.

The thing is, there are four security bots lurking on either side of the main entrance, behind the left and right corners, plus a fifth one near the power node directly ahead. The trick here is to position your men near one side of the ramp, so that the corner covers the ambush. Then you'll only be confronted by three bots at a time, making them easier to deal with. You just need to somehow provoke them to reveal themselves so you can fire accurately (throwing a grenade might help).

After eliminating five security bots in ambush, head inside. The door to the stairs opens from a control panel in the room to the south. The top of the stairs is under fire from two security bots on the right from behind the wall. Further along the balcony, your team will reach another ambush. If one of the bots activates the alarm panel, several security bots will emerge from behind the force field. However, they are armed with 9mm automatic weapons and are easily dispatched from a distance.

Once you reach the next level, don't rush to the large vertical staircase, as there's a turret at the end of the landing. At the very bottom, in addition to forklifts, which can be easily destroyed from the balcony, there are spiders hiding, so don't linger there and immediately lead your team to the next balcony. It's best to eliminate your soldiers there, as two more turrets are stationed behind the wall, and it's best not to expose yourself to them so easily.

Clear out all the remaining rooms (best done from above, from the balcony), and you'll only have to reach the nuclear reactor. The gate to the room containing it will open when you fiddle with the control panel near the aircraft. The remaining robots will launch a final counterattack, and the entire complex will be yours.

Shoot the reactor, and after it's blown up, you'll only have to destroy three energy segments (they're similar to the ones you had to destroy in the previous mission, but they're stronger and won't blow up in one shot). Once the mission is complete and you receive confirmation, the coveted green rectangle will be waiting for your team where you fought the Behemoth.

Just try to grab as much loot as you can, because the merchant now has an amazing selection of weapons and ammunition. New mission in Scott City.
