Twins are a Hardmode version of the Eye of Cthulhu. They are summoned by a mechanical eye. Since version 1.2, there is a small chance that they will appear after the inscription "This is going to be a terrible night..."
Each eye has its own individual health. The red one is Retinazer, which shoots purple lasers, and the green one is Spasmatism, which shoots cursed flames. They are connected by a thread of flesh that connects them. If the eyes are killed or separated by a large distance, the thread connecting them will not be visible.
Spasmatism (Form 1)
In its first form, it will shoot a small amount of cursed flames at you. In multiplayer, it can fire in bursts, depending on the number of players. Projectiles do not pass through walls. After firing flames, it moves in jerks. When falling or rising, it flies parallel to the player. It has 10 defense.
Retinazer (Form 1)
In its first form, Retinazer occasionally fires its laser and has 10 defense. It attempts to get as close as possible to deal damage to the player upon contact.
After reaching 13,500 health, the green pupil is replaced by a mouth and the flesh covering the white of the eye disappears. The white of the eye itself in its second form resembles metal, judging by the shine and, apparently, nails on the sides of the mouth. Defense increases to 35, damage increases to 108, and cursed flames spew from its mouth in much greater quantities, inflicting a corresponding debuff. Its dashes now have a very high speed, exceeding the player's falling speed, and dealing 127 damage on impact with the eye.
Enters its second form when it has 12,000 HP remaining. Defense increases to 20, laser damage to 92, and he also gains a high-speed laser attack, which moves 4 times faster than normal and deals 68 damage. A collision with him will deal 113 damage to the player. In this form, he will constantly be at the side or above the player. The lower his health, the faster he fires his laser.
At 500 HP, the laser fires at a rate of about 4 shots per second, and the Gatling laser will fire at the speed of a mega-shark. He fires not from his pupil, but from a laser cannon in its place. Just like Spasmatism, the flesh disappears, leaving behind shiny metal, but Retinazer's nails are only to the left of the laser cannon.
