1. The Slime Staff is a summoning weapon that summons a small slime to fight by your side. Like other minions, the small slime is immortal and will fight for you forever until the player dies, summons another minion, or cancels the corresponding buff. The Slime Staff is one of the rarest items currently available, with a drop rate of 0.01% (1/10000) when killing most slimes or Slime Zombies (1% of Pinkie).

The best modifier is Ruthless. The Mythical modifier provides more bonuses, but these only affect the staff, not the slime itself. Minions do not deal critical damage.

Tips

  • An easy way to get the Slime Staff is to build a farm using a thin layer of lava and a timer with a Slime Statue. You should check back periodically to see if the Slime Staff has dropped.
  • If you don't have a Slime Statue, the best way to obtain the Slime Staff is to craft and use the Slime Crown. After using it, the Slime King boss will appear, and when he takes damage, blue slimes will spawn from him.
  • The Slime Staff, equipped with the Lucky Coin accessory, is a good way to earn money, as the Slime attacks quickly but weakly.
  • Can be used to knock back weak monsters such as Meteor Shard.

2. The Bone Key can be obtained by killing the Dungeon Guardian. It is used to summon the Skeletron Hatchling Head. It does not disappear from the inventory after use. The Bone Key is a relatively rare and difficult to obtain item, as the Dungeon Guardian can instantly kill the player, and the player's attacks will deal 1-2 damage.

In the world, after killing Skeletron, the Bone Key can no longer be obtained, as the Dungeon Guardian will no longer appear.

Notes

When loading a world, two Skeletron Cub Heads may appear, but there is only one buff icon.|1.2.0.3.1

3. The "Axe" is a tool that can be used as both an axe and a hammer. It looks like an electric guitar and makes electric guitar sounds when swung. Due to its high damage, significant knockback, and the ability to attack by holding the left mouse button, it can also be used as a weapon. It is a rare drop from Plantera (0.5% chance).

4. The Coin Gun is a weapon added in update 1.2.

It can be obtained from any pirate with a 0.0125% chance during the Pirate Invasion. This gun fires coins, the damage of which depends on the coin's value. Coins can be stored in the ammunition slot. This weapon is very effective against bosses, as well as against players in PvP. If you equip the appropriate accessories, the Vortex Armor, and go stealth, the weapon will be more powerful than a sniper rifle, as critical hits can deal massive damage and kill a player in one shot. Coins don't pass through multiple targets, but instead shatter on the first enemy. The Money Cannon has the highest DPS (damage per second) against a single enemy.

Since update 1.3, it has a 0.25% chance to drop from the Flying Dutchman.

Interesting facts

  • Interestingly, if you "break" expensive coins into cheaper ones, the combined damage will be greater. So, 1 Silver coin = 100 Copper coins, which is equal to 2500 damage, and 1 Platinum coin = 1,000,000 Copper coins, which is equal to 25,000,000 damage.
  • To get the Money Gun, the average player needs to defeat approximately 66-67 pirate invasions.
  • The Mushroom Armor's invisibility effect increases the Money Cannon's damage and critical chance, but none of the three helmets have any effect on damage or critical chance.

5. Nymph Banner is a banner dropped after every 50 Nymphs are destroyed. It appears in the background, like paintings, but instead hangs from the ceiling. Each banner provides a small bonus to defense and damage to the creature it's created for.

Notes

It is considered both the "Lost Girl" banner and the Nymph banner (it depicts a lost girl and a nymph from different sides)

Due to the rarity of Nymphs, the Nymph Banner is perhaps the rarest banner in the game.

Updates

v1.3.0.1 No longer drops randomly, but now drops every 50 kills. Also added a small buff against the depicted monster.

v1.2.3 Fixed a typo in the Nymph banner.

v1.2.0.3 Added to the game.
