Sooner or later, you'll need meteorite ingots if you're playing as a mage or if you want to craft a "star cannon." But for all this goodness, you'll need meteorite ingots, which can only be obtained by mining enough meteorites. But how and what do you need to do to make a meteorite fall into your world? I'll answer that now. All you need to do is destroy one sphere in the Distortion or Crimson.
You can break it with a simple wooden hammer or any other hammer (you can also use a bomb or dynamite). However, keep in mind that the sphere may be behind blocks that can't be broken with just any pickaxe. To destroy these blocks, you'll again need either a bomb or dynamite. After all the above steps, a meteorite will fall into your world with a 50% chance the next midnight, or with a 2% chance each night after the sphere's destruction.
