Terraria Wiki → Frost Moon (event)
Frost Moon is an event added in version 1.2.2 to celebrate Christmas. It's similar to the Pumpkin Moon, but with stronger monsters.
It's summoned at night by the Naughty Gift (a consumable item). During this event, you're attacked by numerous monsters and bosses, which come in waves (listed below). The event lasts all night, with 20 waves in total.
It was the most difficult event before version 1.3.
Interesting Facts
This event is available at any time of the year, not just on New Year's Eve.
When you re-enter the world, the Frost Moon disappears.
