The strongest sword in Terraria is the Terra Sword, also known as the Earth Sword. This sword has deservedly earned its status as the best, and even though its damage is slightly lower than that of some other swords, it compensates for this with its speed, making it suitable for any playstyle.

The main property of this sword is its ability to fire green sword-shaped projectiles that can penetrate walls and attack three enemies at once, making this sword more effective when fighting large numbers of monsters.


But how do you create a Terra Sword in Terraria, and what do you need to do for it?

For the recipe, you need to create two other swords, namely:

  • True Excalibur;
  • True Blade of Night;

In the mobile and console versions, the Broken Hero Sword is added to this list.


Assembling the True Blade of Night

It's best to start with the True Blade of Night. The first step to the True Blade of Night is collecting materials to create four other swords:

  • Light's End;
  • Muramasa;
  • Grass Sword;
  • Great Flame Sword; 

To create Light's End, you need to mine Demonite Ore and use a furnace to create 10 Demonite Ingots. Then, craft the sword using an iron or lead anvil. 

Muramasa doesn't require crafting; this sword can only be obtained in the dungeon at World's Edge. 

The Grass Sword is crafted from 12 Jungle Spores and 12 Stingers. The materials can be found in the underground jungle. 

Finally, to create the Great Flame Sword, you need to collect Nether Ore and Obsidian, which are then smelted into Netherrack Ingots. You need to create a total of 20 ingots. After creating the ingots, craft them using an iron or lead anvil into the Great Flame Sword. 

Finally, after all the swords are collected, we combine them into a Nightblade, and then modify it by combining it with the Hero's Broken Sword, which can be obtained by killing a Mortron during a solar eclipse. After crafting, we obtain the True Nightblade. 

The next step on the path to the Terra Sword in Terraria is the True Excalibur. To craft it, you will also need the Hero's Broken Sword, but first, you must craft Excalibur. Excalibur is crafted from 12 Holy Ingots and a Mithril Anvil and Orichalcum Anvil. You can obtain the ingots by killing one of the mechanical bosses. 

Once both swords are created, you can craft the Terra Sword and head into battle.
